Wonderful experience. Close to main plaza activity, but the hotel is off the beaten path.
A good location within walking distance of the main attractions. Clean and functional rooms with decent buffet breakfast. Staff fine but on our first morning too busy argueing to serve us.
Great location. Excellent reception staff.
Great location - Santa Croce is perfect for a quieter stay - near enough to walk to many great places - Rialto area & St Marc's plus only 5 mins walk from the main train station. The ferry/water bus stop at S.Stae is also a few streets away. The Natural History museum is right next door to the hotel. Worth a visit. Plenty of decent restaurants close by also.
The room was very good - very nice bathroom & very clean. Would stay there again for sure.
Beautiful hotel with friendly staff
I stayed with my girlfriend for 4 nights. The hotel was very clean and the room was beautiful.
The hotel is located a 15minute walk from the Bus Station and Train station. There is a water taxi station (S.Stae) nearby.
Central Venice location, ideal for exploring!
2 of us stayed 3 nights at this small but beautiful hotel. It was August, so very hot (30C+), but AC in room very effective and stayed on while we were out, so room very comfortable on return. Lovely marble bathroom, complimentary bottle of prosecco first night, comfortable beds, very ornate, characterful Italian decor. Your room will be either cream or red. Nice continental style breakfast buffet in the morning, pay extra for cooked items from menu. Staff very friendly and helpful.
Not having been to Venice before, was pleasantly surprised how compact it is. You can walk from hotel to Rialto Bridge in 10mins easy and catch early morning fishmarket on your way there. Walk on to get to St Marco's Square. One day we bought 24hr boatbus tickets and visited the island of Murano for glass, Burano for lace, and then in the evening travelled up the Grand Canal from San Stae all the way to Arsenale. Had dinner of pizza outside on a terrace and then travelled back the same route in the dark. Lovely journey on the water with beautiful buildings lit up. Alleyways are lit at night, so you can find your way back to hotel. Will definitely go back, just not in July/August.
Amazing Staff and Great Location.
Our hotel was in a great location and very quiet at night. It was easily accessible and the staff was very accommodating.
