Simply breathtaking in Spring and Fall. I never want to leave, but I have to make it available to you. We speak Spanish and Polish.

Beautiful little cottage. The surrounding area was gorgeous also. It was clean and had everything we needed for our short stay. My husband loved the fishing.
Lydia's Cottage is a very nice, small cottage built over a pond on the owner's larger property site, but we felt that we had more than adequate privacy. The cottage is very comfortable for two people, clean, and well equipped with everything you need. It even has a washer and dryer which is unusual in most smaller cabins and cottages we have rented. The location is quiet but still very convenient to Dollywood and other attractions in the Pigeon Forge and Sevierville area as well as Gatlinburg and the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. We did have the same issue as an earlier reviewer of being charged the $15 pet fee for a "pet free" rental but we caught the overcharge when we received our confirmation notice. We called Lydia and she mailed us a refund check well in advance of our stay. My guess is this is somehow happening in the VRBO reservation system. Our only recommendation for improvement is to replace the mattress and box springs. The bed is not very comfortable and a new mattress would make a big difference and bump our review to 5 stars. Overall, this is a great little cottage!
UPON ARRIVING THE FIRST THING WE NOTICED WAS LACK OF PRIVACY. HAD NO IDEA THE OWNERS HOME WAS RIGHT THERE AND HER THRIFT STORE IS IN THE BACK YARD OF THE CABIN. THE POND WAS LOVELY BUT EVERY TIME WE WENT TO SIT OUTSIDE, THE MAN NEXT DOOR SEEMED TO BE DOING SOMETHING OUTSIDE AS WELL. HEARD WHAT SOUNDED LIKE AN ARGUMENT IN THE OWNERS HOME AS WE WALKED AROUND THE POND. AFTER THAT WE WERE NERVOUS EVEN BEING THERE. THERE IS AN AUTOMATIC PET CHARGE OF $15, REGARDLESS IF YOU BRING A PET OR NOT. AND THE HOUSE IS "PET FREE"! WEIRD. THEN LYDIA CAME TO THE CABIN TO GIVE US A REFUND. WE WERE SHOCKED THAT SOMEONE WOULD INVADE OUR PRIVACY LIKE THAT. HAVE STAYED IN MANY RENTALS AND NEVER HAD THAT HAPPENED. WHO DOES THAT? IT IS DECORATED AS A "LOVE SHACK". GOOD THING THERE WAS NO LOVIN GOING ON WHEN SHE CAME OVER. AWKWARD! A TEXT WOULD HAVE BEEN SUFFICIENT. WHILE WALKING AROUND THE POND GRASS WAS STICKING TO OUR FEET. THE GRASS HAD BEEN FRESHLY CUT, BUT MUST NOT HAVE BEEN CUT FOR A WHILE BECAUSE AS WE WALKED THERE WERE BIG CLUMPS EVERYWHERE THAT STUCK TO OUR FEET. HARD TO WALK WITH SANDALS. ON A GOOD NOTE, THE CABIN WAS ADORABLE AND VERY COMFORTABLE. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND TO ANYONE.
Our stay at Lydia's cottage was very enjoyable and a terrific vacation for us. The location was good, only a 5 minute drive to Pigeon Forge but away from all the busy traffic and people. Very peaceful location where we fished a little, and just enjoyed coffee and reading on the deck. All the amenities needed to cook a meal for 2 if you wish (we just cooked breakfast twice), cable tv although we only used it to catch news one day, huge shower with 2 shower heads, and of course the pond to feed fish or catch fish if you want. Lydia was always quick to respond to messages and for the initial quote and reservation. We hiked to the Chimney Tops and to Clingmans Dome, recommend both for awesome views. Ate at The Mill, Bennetts BBQ, and The Alamo, all great restaurants. Thank you very much for letting us stay at your cottage, we will definitely recommend it to our friends and family!
My fiancé and I really enjoyed the peaceful cottage on the pond. Jack the donkey was sweet. The pond full of fish was enjoyable, we even saw the turtles a few times. We did lots of things every day in town and it was nice to come back to the quiet, calming of the cottage. Perfect place to get away from the stress of every day life.
Dollywood, Splash Mountain, Parrot Mountain and Jayell Stables Horseback Riding within 5 minutes. Pigeon Forge Dinner/Shows within 10 minutes. Gatlinburg 15 minutes.
