The blues weekend
Cute and great location. However, I think $733.00 for 2 nights is way too much for this home. It needs a good deep spring cleaning. An example was when packing up, I dropped an earring. While looking under the bed found a tall glass with a can of old Budweiser in it. We did not bring any of that brand of beer so knew it wasn't ours. A lot of dirt in the tiles in the downstairs bath. The sheets in the cupboards were all rolled up willynilly. Like a 4 year old put them away. Needed a spin in the dryer to take wrinkles out before use. For the kind of money this place cost, it should have been close to immaculate.
The kitchen was very well appointed . Which I appreciated because I cooked alot. Did not find a potato peeler though. Also enjoyed having a nice large space outside to enjoy. There were 7 of us.
House has lots of space for a lot of people. Travel trailer on property not so good.
Great location, quiet neighborhood. Stores, beach are close by.
The Light House cottage
It is an older house that that has seen better times. It is like going to grandmas house. There are many thing to keep you entertained. My six year old grandson is learning to play chess and was delighted that there was a chess board.
Liked all the mix match coffee cups. It had a homey feeling and very relaxed.
Only think that bothered me was too many nickkacks. The house would look more spacious with less and not so cluttered. Could do with a update.
We had fun on the beach and enjoyed Long Beach.
Thank you for taking the time to review our home, we are glad you had a good stay and especially that your grandson was happy with the Chess Set.
We keep the cabinet relatively empty by the television in case our guests have small children and would like to move some of the display items.
We try had to find the happy medium. We do have lovely beaches, hoping you were able to get up to the lighthouse and see it close up, absolutely marvelous.
Look forward to your return.
Easy to rent, my family came and stayed and raved about the beds. Plenty of hot water, nice outdoor fire pit. Comfy... cozy
Had a relaxing time!!!
Property was great!!! We enjoyed our time there.
Comfy, large home with great outdoor space
There was a lot of room for us, liked the layout of the house as the decor was fitting. The tub was a huge hit but noticed if too many bathes were taken the hot water ran out quickly. The fire pit was a huge plus as well. Used this both nights of our stay. Not really a negative but a rake would be nice to clean up the bark that was left on the ground from the firewood before it was placed into the fire. This may seem tedious to some but we are people that leave places the way we find them. Having 3 bathrooms was a plus, especially one in the garage ( as with the reunion). The cleaning station... aka "she shed" was a good little place to sit and talk as well. Noticed some of the board games were missing parts and pieces/incomplete, so unable to play.
Thank you for renting your house to us for the weekend!
Thank you for the suggestions!! We are glad that it worked for your reunion. We added the additional 300 gallons of water for those times when extra folks were there.
Sorry it wasn't enough, as to the games, it is difficult at best to monitor the use of them by our guests. Will try to weed out those that are incomplete and replace them.
Short distance from Ledbetter Park, the Cranberry Fields, the entrance to 13.5 miles of beach to drive on!!
