Standard Double or Twin Room
Very good location. Was recommended to me.
Enjoyed the stay, rooms were lovely, clean & friendly atmosphere. Breakfast wasn't great, empty trays (eggs) for 10min had a taxi so had to leave it. Bacon short day after. Location really good. Would visit or recommend.
Hotel for a 5-day break in Krakow
Hotel was well sited....at reasonable cost for our group of 5.
Woke up each morning to a view of the castle and cathedral.
Easy stroll to the main square and cathedral, the shops and amenities.
Hotel was a good base for excursions - to Auschwitz, Bergen-Belsen, Schindler's factory and the salt mine.
The hotel staff and those in the shops and restaurants were welcoming and gave good service.
We were impressed by Krakow and are considering a return trip - closer to Xmas - next year.
Have no hesitation in recommending Hotel Cossack.
Fabulous hotel in a great position
All the staff were so very helpful and in fact messaged me before the trip regarding the best to get out of Krakow regarding tours etc. So a brief stay of 4 nights was very well planned for us.
Nice convenient hotel.
Convenient for buses and trams. Easy walk to main square. Supermarket round the corner. Decent sized room. Unfortunately our room overlooked an area to the rear of other buildings used for emptying bins and deliveries. Noise started around 6 am. Had we had a room overlooking a different side of the hotel I assume it would have been different. Breakfast was good. On two of our three days breakfast was moved to the roof top restaurant with the good views. It took a little time to find some breakfast items as they were spread around. Didn't like the big step up to reach the tea/coffee.
It probably very nice
We didn't get to travel due to Ryanair flight cancelled
Good location and nice hotel
When we first arrived we were told we didn't have a room for the first evening as a tour group had brought more people without notifying hotel. That was annoying as we had booked so surely we shouldn't have had our room given away. However the receptionist was very nice and really apologetic and to try and make amends gave us a voucher to use on the roof top terrace bar. Unfortunately we weren't told that it all had to be used that evening and , only having 20 minutes before the bar closed, wasted most of it. The bar staff were not particularly pleasant and made us feel like they were annoyed with us being there.
The receptionist arranged for a taxi to take us to our destination for the night - Senecka Hotel - and also someone to come and carry our cases, which was a relief as we had been delayed at the airport nearly 3 hours so rather tired.
The Senecka gave us a lovely room and the receptionist there was really friendly and helpful and ordered pizza for us as everywhere was closed to dine out.
We returned to The Kossack the following day and our bags had been collected for us and put in our room. We had also been given an upgrade with a lovely view so I think we were well compensated for being inconvenienced.
The rest of our stay was very pleasurable, the staff we encountered were all friendly and helpful and the breakfasts were lovely.
We would definitely return there.
