About Lorie Senn

I grew up near Lake Greenwood, SC and this property has been in my family for as long as I can remember. I have been a child, young parent, and now a grandparent in this house. Countless family reunions, fishing weekends, and summer vacations have been spent here and this house is filled with wonderful memories.

Lorie Senn purchased this cabin in 1955

Why Lorie Senn chose South Carolina

This property has been in my family since my parents built the house in 1955. The house is rustic, homey, and comfortable (but NOT fancy). It is perfect for families or groups of friends, and there are multiple seating areas to accomodate all ages. The lot is gently sloping (nearly flat), and there are both grassy and shaded areas. It is a great yard for both play and parking.

What makes this cabin unique

This property is on a large 4+ acre lot with approx. 400 feet of lakefront. Unlike some lakefront land, our lot is gently sloping (nearly flat) so no steep walks to and from the water. The private dock is great for swimming or fishing off of. The lake can be viewed from several rooms of the house and from the new deck.

Very spacious home, nice location. Very nice for a large family.

We really enjoyed ourselves. The weather turned out to be much colder than plan. We built a fire and all sat around. We played corn throw out in the yard. Walked out on the dock - absolutely beautiful.

Great getaway!

  • 5 of 5

Great getaway. Very personal feel and private. Very little traffic on that end of the lake. Dock and swimming are fantastic, and the paddleboat and water gear add to the experience. Owners were great to work with and everything is explained very clearly. Tons of movies and games to play when you not outside having fun.

Perfect for our needs.

  • 5 of 5

A group of us enjoying a few days of fishing stayed here for 3 nights and it was perfect for everything we needed. There was plenty of room for our boats and trailers, there was a charcoal grill for evening burgers and hot dogs and the kitchen was equipped so we could get our breakfast and lunches. There is DirectTv so we were even able to catch some football in the evenings! We've already been talking about a return trip next October.

Love it !!

  • 5 of 5

We spent the weekend here and couldn't be more pleased . The house is full of character and has everything you could possibly need. Love that it is located in the cove , therefore not as much boat traffic. Nothing more relaxing than waking up and taking a cup of coffee out onto the back deck early in the morning and looking out over the lake . Beautiful and peaceful. I have no doubt we will return again for a longer stay.

If you are looking for quiet and privacy, look no further. Best end of the lake in our opinion. All the amenities that you could ask for. Great historic cottage feel, exactly what we were looking for. Can't wait to return.
