Domaine de Maneque is set in the seclusion of its own grounds and surrounded by open countryside. A converted 18th Century farmhouse providing accommodation for self-catering holidays, bed and breakfast, family/group holidays, workshops, training courses or retreat. It is the perfect base to explore this historical and culturally rich area of the Languedoc Roussillon.

Domaine de Maneque is surrounded by exceptional countryside, situated just outside the small village of Alaigne. It is so quiet that at night it is possible to hear the river running in the valley below. The grounds contain a swimming pool (open from June to September), tennis court, lawns and garden.

It is an ideal base to explore the regions rich historical heritage. The mediterranean coast is 1.30 hrs south and to the south west the Pyrenees can be reached in approximately 2 hrs.

Location: 15 mins from the small circulade village of Alaigne 15 mins from the local market town Limoux; 30 mins from the medieval town of Mirepoix; 30 mins from the fortified city of Carcassonne. 1.15 mins from Toulouse; 2.30 hrs from the principality of Andorra; 1hr from the nearest ski station in the Pyrenees; 2 hrs from the Spanish Border; 4hrs from Barcelona.

Travel: Local airport of Carcassonne 30 mins. Flights to and from European cities; International airport at Toulouse - 1.20 hrs

By auto route - 30 mins from A61 running from Toulouse to the Mediterranean.

Golf: The golf course at Carcassonne (30 mins) has remarkable views of the Montagner Noir on the north side and the mountains of the Pyrenees towards the south west. The course is par 72 of 5.758 metres. The club house has an excellent restaurant.

Ski station: The nearest ski station can be reached in 50 mins.

Wine tasting: There are numerous local caves to explore. The Languedoc Roussillon is reputed fro its superb wines.

The property is surrounded by exceptional scenery. Set outside a small village, so quiet that at night it is possible to hear the stream running in the valley below. The grounds contain a swimming pool (open June - September), tennis court, lawns and gardens. Especially suitable for anyone wishing to run workshops or training courses eg. art, photography, cycling or walking holidays. It would also serve as the base for a retreat, yoga or alternative therapy course or from which to explore th regions rich historical heritage. The area has many medieval castles, in particular the amazing Le Cite in Carcassonne, a Cathar castle dating back to the 11th century.

The golf course at Carcassonne has some outstanding views to the dark forest coveed Montagne Noir on the North side and the white snow tops of the Pyrenean mountains in the South west. The courseis a par 71 of 5,758 metres. The clubhouse has its own restaurant.

Skiing - the nearest ski station, in the French Pyrenees is a 50 mins drive.
