Was surprised by cleanliness of room and quality of bed linen. We checked in and dropped our bags as we were off out for the evening. On our return later I found empty medication wrappers by the bed obviously belonging to the previous traveller and when I turned the duvet over there were rips and tears in the cover. It was late and I was too tired to complain but I have taken photos and will send them in to the hotel. Outside the hotel when we arrived there was a young man drinking straight from a brandy bottle, on the phone. He was a resident as we had seen him earlier in the bar but none the less I did feel that he should have been asked to move away from the entrance I did feel a bit nervous but there were hotel staff around. At breakfast we were offered seating in the lounge to eat as it was too busy in the grill we asked if they were low tables that we would be eating on in there and were told no, we walked to the lounge to see that they were low tables. We returned and had a wait for a table, the experience was not relaxing and I did not enjoy it although the food was ok. If the staff had said they were low tables but we could get a coffee and they would come and collect us when a table was free that would have been 200% better.Disappointed as it was a special occasion but not wonderful hotel at all.
Wife's birthday break
Fantastic and well maintained hotel, in a brilliant setting in a great part of London with incredibly attentive staff. We were given a free room upgrade when I explained the purpose or our visit and later on the member of staff that checked us in arranged for some cake to be delivered to our room. Only gripe is that the TV in our room didn't work but I didn't mention it to the hotel so can't comment on why or how they would have dealt with it. Would definitely recommend.
Great hotel, less than 2 min walk from station!
I booked for my husband and I to stay here for his birthday. The hotel is in a great location all attractions are easily accessible. We experienced The Slide at the ArcelorMittal Orbit, shopping and then went to the theatre in the evening. The staff at the hotel are very friendly and helpful. We had an unexpected room upgrade too which was a lovely gesture! Our room was very comfortable, clean and quiet even though they had a wedding on that evening. We had a lovely stay and would highly recommend this hotel for business or pleasure!

This should not be Five Star Hotel
This hotel has truly been a disappointment. Its the worst five star hotel I have ever visited.
There is no car parking and no valet parking associated with this hotel. If you are travelling by car, then you will need to park in the local cinema car park at a cost of £20.00 for the night. The road access to the hotel doors is blocked and door staff do not allow you to unload luggage at the front of the hotel before going to the car park.
The room themselves are clean but certainly not of 5 star quality. The bathroom has a very small wash basin, not even large enough to accommodate a bar of soap and tooth brush together. The bathroom is very basic; there are no slippers, no gowns, no shower cubicle and a very basic, cold hospital type decor.
This review is not to come across as snobby but these are features you would expect within a 5* hotel. Had I been staying in a 3* hotel or well known budget hotels, then certainly I would not have written this review.
The breakfast at the hotel was of a very slow service.I felt sorry for the chef, he was making eggs, omelettes etc for all the guest alone. He mentioned that the kitchen were seven staff members short and he was struggling to manage. The utensils & pans for vegetarian fried breakfast were not available and food was being prepared in the same utensils as for meat eating customers.To his credit, when asked to change this, he did.
This is is deeply poor for such a well respected brand. I would certainly say, do not book here.
Clean hotel with friendly staff. Breakfast was amazing, choosing omelette was good.
