About Victoria Wayne

I'm a semi-retired business person and a new farmer! I recently purchased this wonderful farm in the country. I'm getting to know my very friendly neighbors and the Sebastopol community. I moved here from Tiburon in Marin County. After working and traveling to many places in the world, I found this location pretty idyllic. Come for a visit!

Victoria Wayne purchased this cottage in 2011

Why Victoria Wayne chose Sebastopol

The farm is ideally located just outside of the city limits of Sebastopol in a completely private, country setting yet its close to town and everything Sonoma County has to offer. A half hour to the West is the ocean, Occidental and Bodega Bay. Twenty minutes to the east is Santa Rosa. Healdsburg is 1/2 hour North via a beautiful drive through wine country back roads. Enjoy antiquing, local Farm Trails destinations, local cheese factories, rafting on the Russian River, Luther Burbank Farm which is only a mile away, the Art Walk, Santa Rosa's new Green Music Center, cycling or walking through this beautiful part of the Northern California wine country.

What makes this cottage unique

Pleasant Hill Farm is one of California's more than 5,000 small farms which are produce suppliers. Because it is a working orchard and vineyard you can observe the workings of the farm during certain times of year such as pruning, thining, and harvest. Otherwise, you will just see lots of beautiful apple trees and grape vines busy growing! The guest cottage is warmly furnished like a home. In fact, it was my home for a year and a half while I was renovating the 113 year old farm house so I know you will be very comfortable!

Great home, beautiful property, wonderful rentor!

  • 5 of 5

I really enjoyed my time and the opportunity to rent from Ms. Vici! I rented her property for almost 2 months. She was so helpful, very generous, and overall pleasant to work with! If I had a question or issue, she was there to help in every way. The property is beautiful, and I can't wait to return. I would most definitely rent from her again.

Owner's Response: Zach, I do hope that you come back sometime! I'd love for you to see how beautiful it is here when its not a downpour! I think you were here in the wettest 2 months I can remember. This whole area is pretty spectacular in the spring and fall - and the summer. Thanks for leaving the guest house in such great shape and for being just a great guest!

Beautiful land, cozy house

  • 5 of 5

We spent two nights at Vicky's place. The house itself is lovely, warm and cozy, the land is gorgeous and minutes away from everything. Vicky was a gracious host who made sure we had what we needed. I would stay here again for sure.

Charmimg and beautiful, just what we were looking for.

  • 5 of 5

A few friends from high school took me on a girl's weekend to help me through a difficult weekend. The weekend marked the one year anniversary of my husband's passing and I just could not bear the thought of remaining home alone. Voila, my wonderful friends suggested a wine tasting weekend.

We found the Pleasant Hill farm to be beautiful, and the guest cottage quaint, charming, clean, and perfect for four women. The location was close to wineries and restaurants. We had a driver for the winerie's but Uber'd it from Sebastopol to the farm.

Vicky was wonderful as well. She greeted us when we arrived and left some goodies for us to enjoy. A very memorable weekend. We would definitely return.

Darling bungalow and wonderful accommodations

  • 5 of 5

VIcki was wonderful from the moment we got there. She greeted us at the guest house in her CHARMING apple orchard farm and had cheese and crackers, along with a coffee cake waiting for us. Not sure if you've ever stayed at a VRBO before, but I've never had that. Very classy. Enjoyed every minute of our stay. Perfect weekend escape.

Relaxing home away from home

  • 5 of 5

This property was the perfect spot for our family to stay during our visit to Sonoma county. The home is simple, clean and comfortable, and is in a beautiful rural setting that is close to town and centrally located to many spots you might want to visit. Victoria is a gracious and welcoming host. We'd love to stay there again.

Great Property and Nice Host :)

  • 5 of 5

We had a great time in Sebastopol. The house is wonderful. The kitchen is well-equipped. Everything is clean and we loved it. Victoria greeted us with some treats and gave us instructions on the house and we had a wonderful weekend. We were traveling with our three young children and she was very accommodating with them. Thank you!!!

Owner's Response: Annie, I really enjoyed showing your girls the tree-house and how to knock down a spider web with a stick. :) They're darlings. I'm glad you, and they, had a good country visit and hope to see you again. Victoria

Stay in a charming two bedroom guest house on one of Sebastopol's historic apple farms. The guest house sleeps four and for an additional $75 per night, there is also an extra bedroom in the bottom of the close-by water tower with a double bed. The water tower bedroom shares the bath in the guest house. The 700 sq ft. guest house is attached to the barn and sits facing the remodeled farm house, originally built in 1900, the carriage house /garage, and the water tower. It is furnished with comfortable beds and 2 flat screen TVs with cable in both the master bedroom and living room. There is wireless connectivity and a computer desk with ergonomic chair. Eat indoors or, in the warm weather, enjoy the sunset and eat in expansive surroundings under the oak trees overlooking the orchard and hills beyond. Cook your dinner on an outdoor fire-pit/ barbeque and shop in our wonderful, local organic produce markets. Pleasant Hill Farm is just outside of the town of Sebastopol. There are many restaurants within 5 miles or less. Twenty minutes to the West is the ocean and Bodega Bay. Santa Rosa is twenty minutes to the east and Healdsburg is 1/2 hour North via a beautiful drive through wine country back roads. Enjoy antiquing, local farm trails destinations, local cheese factories, Art Walks, Farm Trails, swimming or canoeing in Russian River and cycling or walking through this beautiful part of the Northern California wine country. Pleasant Hill Farm is a working farm so depending on the time of year, there may be considerable orchard and vineyard activity.
