“The waves of the sea, help me get back to me”

From the moment you open the doors to this condo the beach will call to you. Step inside, take your shoes off and enjoy this oceanside cottage retreat. Grab a super-plush blanket and melt into any one of five recliners in the living room (four are even electric). Open the blinds along with the gigantic sliding glass doors and let the ocean revive your soul. In the mornings step out on the balcony with a coffee, sit and take in the pelicans as they fly overhead all the while hearing the waves crashing in the background. In the evenings be sure to enjoy the spectacular sunsets either in the second bedroom or on the deck of the building and don’t forget your camera. At bedtime, the mattresses will envelope you, provide plenty of rest and allow you to do it all over again the next day.

Though the beach inclination is to spend every moment soaking in the sun and the sea outside, being indoors will be even more relaxing in the comfortable and quaint coastal design this condo offers highlighting picturesque beach views brought indoors from a wall of sliding glass doors on the main floor, a wall of windows in the master, and even a wall of sliding glass doors in the second bedroom with breathtaking views of the Intracoastal Waterway.

Decorated with an oceanside cottage retreat this unit is known for it's comfortable furnishings and beds (we've even had guests call to ask the brand of the mattress so they could go home and buy the same one). The extras like 3 HDTVs (a TV in every room), a Wii system in the second bedroom, and high speed private wifi provide plenty of entertainment indoors when the sun slumbers from it's long day of work at the beach.

You really won’t want to leave, but we promise to always be here, sitting sea-side, awaiting your return.

WHY CRESCENT SANDPIPER COMPLEX IS UNBEATABLE:

LESS THAN A MINUTE FROM UNIT TO BEACH:

We are one of only two complexes on this beach that are RIGHT ON THE BEACH-- just seven steps off the pool deck at the center of our complex to sand.

We built before restrictions forced everyone else to build behind the sand dunes. Thus all other complexes besides our sister property have long stretches of dunes and hard wooden boardwalks over those dunes—our “boardwalk” is made of sand.

We're less than 60 seconds from your door to beach, making your trek with beach gear an easy and fast one!

BEST VIEWS:

Being steps from the beach also means we have the best views on the beach!

Our unbeatable proximity to sand and water, combined with the fact that our complex is shaped like a U so that nobody blocks anyone else’s view, means our views are unrivaled by other complexes!

Don’t be fooled by some people’s claims to “beachfront” or to have a great “ocean view”— our view is not a corner of the room—or hanging over a balcony to get a glimpse of water— every unit in the Sandpiper has panoramic views of the beach!

In addition bringing the sounds of the sea indoors is as easy as opening your windows or doors to hear the waves roll outside.

LESS CROWDS AT OUR COMPLEX:

Unlike some complexes that have hundreds of units- this complex has only 51 units, with about half of those units available to rent and the other half being people's private vacation homes that often sit vacant. As such, you won't see hundreds of guests from this complex taking up the beach space by the condo or crowding the pool and courts.

We also don't rent to groups of young adults (guests under 25 years of age), thus we often have a more quiet feel than other complexes.

Lastly, more often than not our rentals are by the week or month, we are not like a hotel that has a new group coming to party each night.

LESS CROWDS AT OUR BEACH:

Combined with the fact above that our complex is small with less guests using the beach, our beach often stays slow even in busy times (if you want to feel like you own the beach, ask me when the best time to come is) for a couple of other reasons….

Crescent Beach is not a commercial type of beach like St. Augustine beach we only have a couple of restaurants on the north end of the beach a mile away from us, thus we don’t get crowds coming to eat and then walk on our beach, likewise we do not have stores on our small stretch of beach—though there are plenty of stores just a couple miles north of us.

Additionally, we have no hotels on Crescent Beach— so we don’t get nightly guest crowds and partiers coming to our beach.

Lastly, to the north of our complex is a private vacation home (often sitting vacant), to the south of us is our sister complex similar in size to us, thus we aren’t surrounded by complexes with hundreds of guests that fan out onto our side of the beach.

Even in our high season our guests comment at how slow and peaceful everything is here.

POOL AREA: We are one of the only complexes on Crescent Beach that has our pool just steps from the sand! Why is this a big deal? When you lay out on our loungers at the pool deck, you feel like you’re out at the beach— the waves are rolling just over your shoulders, the pelicans are soaring overhead and you can fall asleep to the ocean’s melody. At other complexes you are surrounded by buildings and guests— here you’re surrounded by palm trees and ocean views. No need to get sandy on the beach, be a sun worshiper from the comfort of the pool deck but still feel like you’re out at the beach! In addition, a separate kiddie pool with one shallow depth makes for a great place for the little ones to swim without having to dive in after a child that goes too deep.

AMENITIES: Enjoy a game of tennis on our private tennis courts enclosed by thick lush foliage. Shoot some hoops at the basketball court. Enjoy grilling dinner on our electric grills located on the upper deck with ocean views on one side and Intracoastal waterway views on the other (grills, loungers, tables, umbrellas, and chairs are provided). Don’t miss a chance to take in the fiery colors over the Intracoastal as the sun sinks into the water at sunset, then look over your shoulder to simultaneously watch the beach turn to a palette of pastel pinks and blues— there is no better seat on all of Crescent Beach to enjoy the sunset than on the upper deck of the Coquina with panoramic water views on each side of you!

ABOUT CRESCENT BEACH AND SURROUNDING AREA:

This condo is nestled on one of the best kept secrets in the world-- Crescent Beach found on Anastasia Island, located just 15-20 minutes from the quaint historic city of St. Augustine. Crescent Beach has been named one of the most “scenic and unspoiled beaches in Florida.” With soft white sand to play in, shells of all sizes that come in from the waves to find, and a shallow flat coastline to play in the waves, whether you build castles, beach comb, or play in the waves— the beach will keep you busy for hours.

If you decide to leave the beach you can do so to discover over 500 restaurants, more per capita of residents than anywhere else on the east coast, you literally could not try all of St. Augustine’s restaurants in a year’s time, but we welcome you to try. Whether you come to enjoy one of the many golf courses nearby (including TPC Sawgrass), want to try your hand at fishing on piers, from the beach, or from a boat, have an interest in the area’s many museums or love the historic area’s architecture and brick pedestrian-only streets, or prefer the shopping and foodie scene, St. Augustine is a gem that more than one guest has asked us not to share with anyone else!

If you don’t want to venture to the downtown area, the island we are situated on (Anastasia Island, which is considered part of St. Augustine proper), has enough restaurants, grocery stores, surf shops, and activities (such as Marineland where you can swim with dolphins, the Alligator Zoo where you can zip line over alligator enclosures, the famous St. Augustine lighthouse, or a multitude of recreational activities like kayaking, paddle boarding, fishing, boating, etc.) to keep you busy. However, we find, more often than not, it is the lonely beckon call of the beach out your door that has you rebooking. Described by the locals as “the way old Florida used to be,” Crescent Beach still remains slow, quiet, and peaceful like Florida beaches once were. With soft white sand to dig your feet in, shells scattered along the water’s edge to find, sea grass waving in the ocean breeze, turtles lazily digging in the dunes, pelicans surfing the skies, and dolphins playing along the shoreline’s waves, it is this quintessential beach life that fills our souls with longing and brings us back time and time again!

In terms of specific activities (other than everything the beach in your backyard provides), there is something for every single age and interest within 5-25 minutes away from the condo including:

HISTORY: Tons of history and spectacular architecture! We are just 15-20 minutes away from the oldest city in the nation where you will find museums, replicas of old St. Augustine where people are dressed in character and give you a guide through American history, or closer to home you can visit Fort Matanzas by boat just 5 minutes from the condo and hear the old cannons go off.

RECREATIONAL ACTIVITIES: There are recreational activities in almost every single genre: fishing (from a platoon boat on the Intracoastal, by deep sea fishing boat on the Atlantic, or try fishing off the bridges and piers or from the shore in your backyard), boating, parasailing, kayaking, canoeing, paddleboarding, renting mopeds or scoot coupes, etc.

GOLFING: There are at least five golf courses nearby ranging from the community golf course to the world famous TPC Sawgrass at the World Golf Village.

About Marisa Dye

My name is Marisa and I am a boutique-type manager that specializes in managing a small handful of units in the two best complexes on Crescent Beach (the only two right on the beach— just six steps off the pool deck to sand, as opposed to all others that have long hard wooden boardwalks and stretches of dunes separating you from the sand and the sea). While I’m different from working with an owner (this is what I do for a living so I am fast to answer emails, always available by phone/text, and treat this as a business) I am a lot like an owner as well, in that I have been staying in this complex and on this beach for over 17 years myself (my parents own there)!

I have stayed in most of the units I manage and know the complex, beach, and area as well as I know my hometown. Renting with me means you won’t mess with big companies who have never set foot in our complex, much less your unit. It means that if there are problems, you have 24 hour access to me to help you. It also means that I am here to help you plan your perfect vacation for your group or family.

With 17 years of experience, first coming as a teenager, and now bringing my four children, as well as coming with my retired parents who own there, I am very familiar with what the area has to offer for all ages and the best insider tips for restaurants, places to find sea shells, best places to shop, golf, etc. I would love not only to rent to you, but to help you plan your perfect vacation as well!

See what this guest had to say about their experience with me, “And Marisa…if this isn’t her calling, then I don’t know what is. She could NOT have been more helpful and went above and beyond to answer any questions and offer extra information about the condo and the area.” For more testimonials go to www.stayatcrescentbeach.com.

Why Marisa Dye chose St. Augustine Area

Crescent Beach on Anastasia Island is like a secret we hesitate to share, and yet can't keep to ourselves. The beaches are not very busy, and can sometimes even be vacant (where else does that happen?)! The locals still describe that as the way “old Florida used to be” with uncrowded beaches. It’s surrounded by entertainment and adventure and over 365 restaurants, and yet we are always content just breathing in all our condo and the ocean out the door has to offer! If you want crowds-- go to Daytona or St. Augustine beach, if you want quiet pristine beaches come here!

What makes this condo unique

One of my "most comfortable units" as stated by guests: 4 electric recliners in living room on one of the most comfortable sofas you will ever sit on! Guests call and ask the brand of mattress because it was the best night of sleep they've ever had.

Guestbook comments from the manager

We had a wonderful time! The boys loved the beach. We all loved the condo!! It was so cheerful and beachy! We enjoyed the Nights of Lights trolley ride, carriage ride, boat trip, and the restaurants were amazing! I would love to be added to the mailing list! My Grandson said that we have to go to the beach for all our vacations (they live in Port St. Lucie but rarely go to the beach which is not as nice as Crescent beach)! The beach toys and chairs were an added bonus. The kitchen was fully stocked and we definitely enjoyed the Keurig!

My Favorite Vacation Condo and Location

  • 5 of 5

Been here multiple times, just left, and have already booked my next stay. Perfect location, property, condo grounds, and pool. Marisa is prompt, courteous, and professional, though frankly I've never had an issue where we've needed her during our stays. I sleep better there than in my own bed at home. The condo is in a quiet, family only area but close enough to great restaurants and attractions. The unit is clean and tastefully decorated, with modern touches like fast Wi-Fi, flat screen TVs in all 3 rooms, and a fall-asleep-in-every-night-without-trying electronically reclining couch and love seat. Actually, I hope nobody reads this so it'll be easier for us to book it in the future...

Perfect location, can't wait to go back!

  • 5 of 5

We stayed at this condo, and couldn't have been happier. After previous vaca plans fell through, Marisa helped us book this condo and couldn't have been nicer or more helpful! The condo had everything we needed and was very clean. We were so happy with how close the ocean was! Pictures always make the beach look close, but this was literally steps from the pool deck. With a 13 month old, we were worried about having to haul our beach stuff down there every day, but it worked out great. There weren't many people on the beach, which was exactly what we were hoping for. We really appreciated the kiddie pool too! We saw tons of dolphins every day! We can't wait to come back! The location is absolutely perfect for a relaxing vacation. The beach is pretty bare, but you're 15-20 minutes from downtown St Augustine and in the middle of the action! If you're thinking about renting this condo, do it! Marisa is wonderful to work with!!

Great location, ready to go back!

  • 5 of 5

In mid-March my husband and I took our twin 2-year-olds and my mom and dad also visited for a few days. The unit was exactly as described and provided plenty of room for four adults and 2 small children. We put the twins in their individual pack-n-plays in the master and still had room to move around. The location of the complex was superb. In mid-March, we frequently had only a handful of people on the beach, as far as you could see. However, you are still close enough to grocery stores, convenience stores and St. Augustine. We loved having the kitchen to cook meals and the balcony was nice to sit and relax. The pool, including the kiddy pool, was rarely occupied and overall the complex was very quiet and we felt comfortable.

Unfortunately we had to use both the urgent care (Crescent Beach Care) and the Children's ER (Wolfson's Children's Hospital in Jacksonville) for one of the twins. The urgent care is about a mile north and provided some sound medical advice and very professional and attentive staff. Both of the facilities provided outstanding medical care that we felt confident and comfortable with, especially while in an unfamiliar medical community.

Marisa was prompt at answering any and all questions, provided the check-in information about a week in advance and provided the cleaning refund well in advance of the promised time-frame. We would love to come back when time permits in the future.
