f you are a golfer, you are in the heart of some of the most beautiful golf courses in the world. Mauna Kea, Mauna Lani, Waikola Beach, Waikola Kings, Hapuna, Hualalai,Big Island CC, and too many others to name. White, green, and black sand beaches around the island, along with an active volcano, surfing, windsurfing, boogie boarding, zip lines, and even swim with the dolphins at the Hilton, just a 5 minute drive away.

Great Location & Nice Place
The location is awesome, in the heart of the Waikoloa resorts, and next to shopping and multiple food options. We love the Waikoloa coast as it has the best beaches on the Big Island. We also loved having the golf course for the back yard.
I rented this unit for two of my Lavaman Directors and they said that it was perfect for them. They were able to do their work and come back and relax and enjoy the apartment and its amenities. I hope to rent it again for 2020.
Spacious place in great location
The apartment was spacious and very clean. The owner was great at communicating and double checked we had the needed arrival information. Great location. Highly recommend.
Kitchen needs major improvement.
The location was lovely. The pool was beautiful. Close to 2 great shopping areas. Walking distance to the beach. But we stayed here for the kitchen which didn't have a knife sharp enough to use, nor a sharpener. There was nothing in the pantry, not even salt or pepper and pantry items were mentioned in the ad. No hand soap for the kitchen. The temperature of the oven was off, had to cook anything additional 20 mins at least Also a paper with instructions would've been helpful, with the wifi password, instructions on how to work the tv, etc. I wouldn't stay here again unless the kitchen situation is different.

I think you are not aware how Outrigger Hotel and Resorts management worked. None of the units they maintain will have food items due to liability. If you rent a unit from local management, they may have some leftover from previous guests, but that's not safe to eat. The condo is prep as a hotel, with basic items for the first few days, such as little shampoo/conditioner/soap/small dishwasher. People rent for weeks and months, they are familiar with this kind of service. This way will help the unit looks really clean and not having bugs for old food items. Anyway, you are staying for 3 nights and I am sorry for your expectation. If you look for an apartment in that complex, maybe there are some units with local maintenance guys. They don't care about liability. Thanks for renting our unit. Things will not change.
No problem with property.
Apparently I had to tell Outrigger if I was going to arrive after 7. There is no information about this on the VRBO webpage. When I arrived at the office at about 9pm it was closed > called number on door > had to call another number for late check in : no answer and voice mail not activated > called owner: told me she sent me an e mail because I am suppose to tell them if I am going to arrive after 7 (so it is my fault!) E mail contained gate number and lock box number. Finally got into the gate, but dark and no map of complex, finally noticed in the darkness the numbering system and found the condo. Lockbox does not open. I don't really know how they work but wife started knocking on doors and happen to find the complex manager that happens to live next door. Even he had trouble opening it! During this time I called Outrigger twice and the owner twice. No answer from them. Then after sleeping for about 2h the owner finally got back to me. Apparentlly she missed my calls. Then an hour later Outrigger called me. Apparently they also missed my calls. Besides this we did not experience any other problems. The condo was clean and had everything you would need even if you stayed there permanently. Now that I know how it works I would probably not mind staying there again. But they should really provide information on the VRBO website about the office hours and what to do if you arrive late. And have a map of the complex and instruction on how to open a lockbox! I am probably just stupid. Like I said, even the manager had trouble opening it. Oh yes, and the key to the pool does not work. There you have it. After all is said and done I would say that I do recommend this property.
Fantastic location and very nicely kept 2-bedroom unit.
Just hard to describe the unit in so few words, but having a morning view of Mauna Kea out of the back yard, to use of the fitness facilities and infinity pool, etc., was really great!
