My name is Jed. I grew up just a few blocks away from the Gooseberry Farm House. I love to hike and mountain bike with my family and that's why I still live here. I would love a chance to tell you how to see the best sites in this amazing area.
Jed purchased this farmhouse in 2006
I live close by this home and I can tell you first hand how great this area is. I truly love LaVerkin and the bike trails and hiking it has to offer. It's home to me and can be your second home.
I fell in love with this home when I learned that it sits feet away from two beautiful hikes and the Pah Tempe Hot Springs. It's such a lovely location and home.
We stayed here over the summer and had a wonderful time! It's close enough to Zion, but far enough away that there aren't any crowds. My husband was able to get to trails for bike riding. He loved the binder with all the trails close by that they prepared for guests. Very comfortable and cozy. We'd love to stay here again the next time we're up this way.
This is a great place to stay, we love it every time we go. The owner Jed is very accommodating with our needs, we had to make some last minute changes to our trip and change the dates sooner then was planned due to family member getting ill and jed changed the dates for us with one phone call. I really appreciate how easy it has been to work with jed every time we go there, especially compared to other property owners in other areas of the country that I've had to deal with. If you are ever in Saint George or a surrounding area I would highly recommend this property to anyone. Trust me even if your purpose is to be in Saint George, the drive from this house to Saint George is well worth it just to stay at this lovely property and work with such an amazing guy like jed!! If I could rate this place higher then 5 stars I would in a heartbeat!!! Thanks for having an amazing place to stay for us and please don't ever sell the house, lol, see you in April!!!
We stayed here less than a week ago. Absolutely loved the property and the location. We had 2 foreign exchange students traveling with us and when I asked them what they would change- they said "nothing" and then mentioned the sprinklers that turned on at 6:30 or 7 AM. It woke them up each morning.
The home is close to Zion and it's an easy 'commute'. The grocery stores are close and plenty of restaurants to choose from.
I appreciated the fact the kitchen had everything needed to prepare meals and the washer/dryer was a huge bonus. Also, appreciated the BIG recycling can in the garage and the marked calendar of when pick up is. Green is the way to be!!!
The garbage disposal didn't work and in less than 24 hours it was fixed. Jed is very easy to work with and helpful. We definitely enjoyed our stay here and would stay again. No question
Quiet home with comfortable beds, nice amenities, sunny eating area where we could watch the cows, goats, chickens, etc. Well stocked kitchen supplies.
Loved coming back to this place every day after a full day of hiking.
My girlfriend and I stayed at gooseberry farm on a recent trip to visit Zion and Bryce. The house was spotless and well appointed with all the supplies you could possibly need already there. The location is roughly 20 minutes from Zion and Springdale, GREAT LOCATION. Comfortable and quiet we really enjoyed our stay. Jed was just a phone call away to swap out batteries on a beeping fire alarm. We also left some clothes at the house and they were shipped back to us in PA in 3 days !
I recently stayed for 3 nights........easy location to find and very convenient access to Springdale. Everything we needed for a fun weekend........and the bonus .....there were farm animals all around us. There is a big spacious garage for parking and a cute back patio to sit outside and watch the goats next door. There is even a white hen that roams around all day. My friend and I both loved it! If you are coming from Cali......just remember Utah is one hour ahead.
