A whole 220m2 of space to enjoy as you please in the warm and welcoming interior of this fabulous, three-bedroom property, ideal for large families or a group of friends. And if you need even more space, Madre de Dios II, another of our most cherished properties, is located on the same floor of this stately building.

Madre de Dios is located in the street of the same name, in the Barrio de San Bartolomé, part of the old city centre, where the barrio de la Alfalfa and the barrio de Santa Cruz, the old Jewish quarter of the city, come together. A true privilege, because from here you are literally just steps away from all the main points of interest in Seville, from the old historic centre to the financial area of the city, including the Maria Luisa Park, the Murillo gardens, the old Tobacco Factory, the Cathedral and the Giralda, and many other sites of tourist and cultural interest. The city is yours

The property is part of a stately building dating back to the 19th century, and retains all the bourgeois atmosphere of the period in a renewed and modern spirit. It has a very bright and spacious living area, and three generously proportioned double bedrooms. The interior décor is of the highest quality and specifications. Just take a look at the marble floors, the cement tiling, the original woodwork… it will really be a case of love at first sight when you cross the front door! Following its total renovation, the property makes the best possible use of the natural light streaming in through the large balcony windows. Yes, the days are long in Seville all year round, so make the most of them!

The decoration is elegant, opting for the serene and the functional, with touches of traditional Sevillian heritage and colourful, contemporary details.

The entrance hall leads to the spacious living area, divided into two distinct settings. At the furthest end is a TV and sitting area, equipped with two large sofas, a chaise longue and a coffee table, lights and a pretty sisal carpet. Next to the window is the dining area, with a large, contemporary style table and chairs for six. The open plan kitchen lies next to this, separated by a low wall and framed with columns, acting almost as a further decorative element. Perfect for organising a meal with friends while you take care of last-minute dinner details, or for cooking while keeping an eye on the children...

The sleeping area has three sophisticated and spacious double bedrooms, accessed from the hall. The master bedroom, decorated in a somewhat art deco style, with decorative mouldings and a pretty frieze on the wall above the large, sumptuous bed. It has a chimney and full en-suite bathroom with bath and shower.

The second and third bedrooms, also double, have the same comfortable beds, auxiliary furniture and storage solutions which are fully integrated into the décor. Again, each room has its own en-suite bathroom: independence and privacy guaranteed! The decoration follows the elegant and colourful style of the rest of the property, with expertly chosen textiles, light fixtures making for a choice of different atmospheres, and all the conveniences to provide the best possible stay for our guests.

From the Madre de Dios street, to the south east of the old city centre, a few minutes’ walk will bring you to the whitewashed streets of the Barrio de Santa Cruz, the Reales Alcázares (Royal Palace), the Cathedral and the Giralda. Just a few metres away you will also find the calle Recaredo, the Murillo gardens, the Maria Luisa Park, the Tobacco Factory, and a direct link to the barrio de Nervión by underground or bus. The calle Recaredo is a good place from which to start exploring beyond the old walled part of the city, either on foot or by bus, touring the Centro-Macarena area and then on to the city’s more modern areas or its technological centre at the Isla de la Cartuja.

Fantastic service that goes beyond expectation

Very impressed with the whole booking and check in procedure with the managing agents of the flat, Home at Homes. Lots of very useful information sent by email beforehand and lots of information such as restaurant recommendations from the agent during check in. The flat also has a very professionally produced book with extra information and recommendations. Also very good in sorting out a couple of minor glitches, including quickly producing a replacement hair dryer.

Stayed as a party of 3 couples. The flat is ideal as it has 3 en suite bathrooms and all rooms are very generously sized. The flat is in the perfect position to walk easily to all the key sites, yet is in a quiet side road, so peaceful. The flat is elegantly furnished, and the beds are extremely comfortable with good quality bed linen. The kitchen is well stocked with plenty of plates and glasses - which unlike many rented places all match and are new and unchipped - so we took advantage of eating in at the large dining table a couple of nights, buying produce from the local markets.

At the end of our stay my husband managed to leave his mobile phone behind and Home at Homes couldn't have been more helpful in retrieving it, carefully packaging it and sending it back by courier. Very grateful for such great service!

All in all, the perfect place to stay and an excellent company to deal with!

Wonderful stay in a palatial setting.

Apartment is very spacious and comfortable with all amenities. Three large bedrooms each with full bathrooms made this a very comfortable stay for our family. It is centrally located within walking distance to all the main attractions and great restaurants. Beautiful space.
