Brand new to the market and super motivated to make your stay perfect. This Queen Anne home in the heart of Kerrytown was built in the late 1880’s for Katherine Hartmann, and spent much of its early life as home to postmaster Albert Mayer. We finished a two-year complete restoration and addition in early 2017. The exterior features historic siding milled just three doors down at what is now an antiques market. The interior was meticulously restored and retains its historic character. The new addition features repurposed turn of the century floors and beams that flow off the old structure. The chef’s kitchen, jumbo island and wet-bar make entertaining and family gatherings a breeze. The handmade swing on the fieldstone front porch is great for people watching. The large back deck provides privacy, a barbeque and access to the large yard (sandbox and bocce set included). All of this a 30 second walk from Zingerman’s Deli, the farmers market, etc.…., with Main Street and the rest of downtown just a few minutes’ walk further. Come park your car, forget about it, and enjoy everything that downtown Ann Arbor has to offer.
The house sleeps 12. The set up for the beds is: 2nd floor master bedroom has king sized bed and large ensuite bath (claw foot tub and walk in shower); garden level guest room with queen; first floor guest room and garden level family room each with high-end pullout queens; and two second floor bedrooms, each with a full sized bed. There is a second full bathroom on the 2nd floor, another on the garden level, and a half bath on the main floor. We will consider requests for an additional two people on an air mattress in the gym on the garden level for an extra charge.
PLEASE NOTE that we primarily rent weekends but will consider longer stays d. Finally, while we're new to Homeaway, we've rented our home before and can share references as we build a base of reviews from Homeaway subscribers in 2018. We have several confirmed reservations from Homeaway users this fall.
