The pictures you posted are misleading. From a safety point of view, most upsetting was the condition of the back deck & screened in porch: -The railings have a significant lean which make you wonder if they're even safe. -The deck floor boards are in horrible condition- badly warped & splintering with nails sticking up. -The screened in porch area- the plastic encasing the metal pillars is coming apart/pulling apart. -One of the posts even has a metal brace wrapped around it in a more aggressive effort to keep it from coming off (at least that's what it looks like). -The railings around the screened in porch- the wood & paint are badly splintered & big chunks are flaking off. -In some areas around the screened porch it looks like glue was used and painted over and that's breaking off in chunks as well. -The nails used on the porch railings & screened in door, are not stainless steel and are seriously rusted with the rust running down the sides. While the house interior was clean & acceptable, it is also in need of a face lift: -The 26" wide, spiral staircase- is not pictured in your photos and is so narrow, very difficult to walk. -The kitchen table is covered in paint & water stains. -The shades are old & the ropes on several have frayed making them difficult to roll up. -The beds: the 1 king size bed is on the top floor not the main floor as advertised and there was actually TUBE TVs in several of the rooms. - The bathrooms- were clean but the vanities old & low with a height of 30-32". We've been visiting Debordieu for 20 years and have stayed in several homes. Always the homes have been clean, modern and welcoming. Sorry to say but for the price tag, we cannot give Southern Dunes a positive review.

This home is well located, but poorly maintained. Rusty nails poking out of splintered boards on all decks as well as the walkways which have to be negotiated to get to the beach. Main door to outside deck inoperable due to broken handle. Elevator flooring is filthy. Carpet throughout the home in bad condition. Rotten window in master bedroom.

Excellent

They do need 2 new mattresses in the upstairs far room with 2 full size beds. We have been going there for over 20 urs and they need changed. The new counter tops amd paint were a nice upgrade. Thank you for letting us enjoy every year!
