The place is as presented if not better: modern , clean and comfortable. The view is amazing and Milna is beautiful, peaceful and relaxing. Great bakery and restaurants 10min. away. We had a fantastic time. Communication with the host was very good. I recommend this property.
This was our first visit to Croatia but it will certainly not be our last. We absolutely loved everything about it.
The booking of the villa was easy and trouble free and any questions that I had after we'd booked were very quickly answered by both Ronan or Tajana. They were very very helpful.
The Villa Old Mill was probably the best villa we have ever stayed it... clean, spacious, covered every requirement and more. We loved the roof top terrace for the views, the breeze during the day and for the evening BBQ's. The villa had all the facilities we needed and more. It was just wonderful. We also had friends staying in the 1 bed apartment which worked out great for them as they could also use the roof top terrace as their balcony. It was all just great. The views from the apartment are just unbelievable.
Stipe, the manager, was an absolute gem. When we needed any help, or anything sorting out, a quick text and he'd sorted it out with no fuss and no hassle for us at all. He was wonderful.
On our last day, we could keep the villa till 12noon which was just great and the one bed apartment as long as we wanted... this meant that we had an extra day to our holiday - just so good.
We loved Milna, the little town, had some lovely meals out. Bit of a steep walk back up to the villa but it walked off our dinner!
Brilliant Scuba diving club at the bottom of the hill - they took our totally novice boys out for their first dive and they couldn't have been more helpful, encouraging and kind to them. Worth having a go if you've not tried it before.
Visited Sutivan beach twice which was just gorgeous - soo picturesque and we also went to Bol Beach - bit of a hair raising driving experience but totally worth it for just the experience of that beach. Its one not to be missed.
Would totally recommend Dalmatia holiday rentals to anyone wanting to visit this area of Split and we will almost definitely use them again when we re-visit the hidden gem that is Croatia! Need to come again before everyone finds out about it!
Thanks to all concerned.
The Old Mill villa in the port of Milna has been finished and furnished to a superb quality. The description and photographs on the website are very accurate: this is a really spacious property over 3 levels, plus a private roof-top terrace with great views over the town and the harbour. The villa was pristine.
The compromise of course is that the villa adjoins and shares the pool area with 4 apartments. Happily this was not a problem for us (2 couples and 2 'adult' daughters in their early 20's). All of the neighbours were respectful of one another's privacy, and as well as a large private balcony, we had the luxury of the huge roof-top terrace with very comfortable furniture and sun loungers.
Milna is a charming wee port town, with a lovely harbour. I wouldn't go there if you are looking for a hectic clubbing scene, but there was just enough of a buzz about the place in the evening to keep us all happy for the week.
I would have no hesitation in recommending the Old Mill Villa. It is situated up the hill from the port - hence the views - but it wasn't any problem. The manager, Stipe, is a really nice young guy, and he couldn't do enough to help in any way, booking transfers and trips if required. Definitely 5-star.
Villa Old Mill not only lived up to our expectations but surpassed them. The property, has 4 levels and was very spacious for 6 people. Each bedroom was a double size and the master on the ground floor was enormous. It was spotlessly clean and very well maintained. The view of Milna from both balconies was beautiful. The villa is on a hill but it is manageable . The manager (Stipe) could not have been more helpful ( as was the owner) and arranged taxis for us to get about the island as we chose not to hire a car though there is ample car parking and we would recommend a car if someone in your group is infirmed. There are a number of eating places to choose from offering sea food, pizza and meat dishes. There is a 'beach' area for swimming and the water is safe, lovely and clean but rubber shoes are recommended for stones We would highly recommend this property and would consider returning ourselves.
A great apartment with everything you need, including a swimming pool!
Very clean with friendly staff also.
Arguably one of the Mediterranean's best kept secrets, The Dalmation coast is bursting with beauty from it's picturesque villages enamoured with Romanesque and Gothic architecture, to its lush vegetation, lavish flora, blossoming vineyards and breath taking waterfalls.
Relax and bathe in crystal clear ocean waters that warm to a temperate 21 degrees in summer months, or scuba dive down beneath the surface and explore an underwater museum of shipwrecks from WWI, hidden amidst magnificent Mediterranean fauna. Picnic atop the cliffs and watch the sunrise or go wild white water rafting through the crooked canyons below.
Walk hand in hand along pebbled beaches as the sun goes down, or stroll the cobbled streets and share a romantic dinner at your choice of charming local restaurants and cafes. With average summer temperatures of 29 degrees, the only thing warmer than the sun on your face will be the welcome you receive from the delightful Croatian people.
