Come on in and leave your worries behind because you will feel relaxed as soon as you enter. The house has over 40 windows for plenty of natural light and shades if your not ready for the sunshine yet. Upstairs, enjoy a glass of wine on the patio or go inside where you won't find any drywall, only tons of heart pine with a lil oak and driftwood here and there, and take a jacuzzi bath in the upstairs bathroom. There are 10ft ceilings and 2 fireplaces upstairs with a full kitchen, formal dining room ,formal living room, formal entry room and 2 sitting areas with great views. This house has tons of antiques along with a lot of my own personal touches. I have a Landline, Wireless and Satellite TV (just in case you still want to stay in touch with the rest of the world) also books, DVDS and boardgames if you have any free time upstairs. As you go down the original inside staircase you will find the master bedroom which has 2 fireplaces and the 2nd spacious bedroom and bathroom and a sitting/sun room. I have front loader Bosch washer and dryer just in case you feel like keeping up with dirty laundry while in town? And of course I am an animal lover!! So please feel free to bring your furry family members too!! Lets just try to make them mind their manners ;) There is a huge fenced in back yard with a gas BBQ grill, picnic table and extra chairs. Should there be a cool night or two, I also have a burn pit for the perfect s'mores. The property is settled on a charming corner lot with plenty of room for parking, just don't hit one of the pecan trees and take care when your around the magnolia tree. It came in a coffee-can from Birmingham AL, compliments of my 4th grade teacher that taught me at St.Marys Elementary School which is right up the road. The house is located in the historic district and is within walking distance to the waterfront area which is where the ferry is located for Cumberland along with shopping restaurants and bars. I generally have a few bikes and fishing rods laying around the house but I can't guarantee one of my neighbors or friends didn't barrow them so please feel free to bring your own. The house is fully equipped so just bring some clothes and a toothbrush and your ready to go:D

The kitchen is super well-equipped, and we enjoyed the bicycles for traveling around the downtown. Attractive, warm renovation of an older home—such thoughtful and caring efforts to retain the charm of this early 1900s home!

The house is very unique with all the great furniture, so clean and comfortable! It really feels like home!! The kitchen is well equipped!! ! We enjoyed everything and especially the porch with great rocking chairs!! Quiet neighborhood!! We are definitely going back and I highly recommend this house, you will not be disappointed!! In walking distance of restaurants and river if you prefer!! Great location!!
Home was charming and has tons of character. Walking distance to waterfront makes it the perfect location. We could not have asked for a better stay. Even got to enjoy the fire pit and roasted marshmallows😀

I grew up in this small fishing hole town and always had a blast without anything but my ole beach cruiser.You can take a ride around town, go either way out of the driveway and your sure to end up at a boat ramp just in time for a lil fishing or shrimping. If that doesn't float your boat you can always jump on Langs Ferry and pop over to Cumberland Island for the day. Make all of your phone calls before you arrive on the island because you probably won't get the greatest service. It is truly like stepping back in time over there. You won't find any paved roads but you will find ruins of mansions, intact mansions, wild horses, turkey, hogs and deer (keep a special eye out for the white deer) to name a few. As your walking down the sanded paths be sure to pay attention to what is under your feet, could be sharks teeth? If your looking to get off off the oak tree shaded paths and have some fun in the sun, then take a path out to the beach where you will have 18 miles of one of the quietest beaches I have ever been to. Don't be shocked if you see wild stallions running up and down the beach just appreciate their beauty. The beach is great for shelling , as the seasons change so will the shells that wash up on the shore line. October and November and normally great months to get a few extra bucks, sand dollars is the island currency according to me. When you get back to the house on the mainland, give a hello to Charlie or Larry who live across the street;) Charlie will always know whats going on around town.. and tell him I said 'Hey Charlie, I miss you and see ya soon!!
