A beautifully appointed home nestled in a tropical garden like setting. It's a peaceful and quiet place. The kitchen is well stocked. the mattresses were a little hard for us. Bill is very attentive and helpful with a desire to make your stay pleasurable and enjoyable.
What a great place to stay
This is a awesome place to get away from it all. Verry Quite , feels like your in some remote paradise. The peacocks visiting every day is awesome and Bill the owner is there anytime he is very nice and help full. I would definitely recommend this little slice of paradise
Fun folks to host. Always welcome at my home. They left the house nice and tidy. They invited me to a seafood dinner but was unable to go. But the leftovers were great. Hope to see them again. The peacocks were at the back door after they left looking for a handout. I think the peacocks are missing them.
After seeing this property we decided not to stay. We felt like the pictures, especially of the outside, did not accurately represent the space. First of all, the pictures do not show it as a duplex, and it is. The website also states that there is a water view. Apparently there used to be one, but it is now overgrown. The dock on the canal ditch is all rotten.
The slider leading to the outside had to be lifted up some to go out on some pretty rickety steps.
We certainly were not planning on sharing our space with others.
Fortunately we were able to find another place to rent since we were not willing to stay there.
Prior to her arrival this traveler had friends preview the property and actually went to the wrong unit, called the traveler to report that the property was not as the picture showed.. And of course, this was so, as they were looking a the wrong unit..
Sadly, this traveler did not understand the charm of the "Old Florida " look. There are Native plants, Old growth Oak trees, Spanish moss, Resurrection ferns, Bromiliads galore. It is not a "manicured" property. Most guests trully appreciate this unique setting as you can see by the other reviews. Even after recieving a FULL refund for this Prime week, she still felt it necessary to leave a negative review even though she never stayed there. I guess you can't please everyone, as I take great pride in my property and have multiple repeat guests and great reviews.
My son's baseball team was in Dodgertown for the week and we found this place in Sebastian about 15 minutes away. It was a wonderful house and perfect for myself, my wife, two daughters and my folks. The house is located right off of Route 1 but because the property is large and there are lots of trees etc. you would never know the road was there. The bay is at the end of the property and there is an island that you could swim to if you wanted, my kids had planned to but ended up not having time. The beach is about 10 minutes drive and free to park and free to use and was very nice. Bill lives on the property in a house further back on the bay and is very friendly and helpful and was immediately available for any questions we had.
This was a great place and a great week!
Loved our stay!
Perfect cottage with everything we needed!
We rented the house for the month of February 2014 the house was comfortable kitchen was efficient 3 bedrooms were nice size and comfortable Bill the owner was always available and helpful for what we needed. The nearby farm vegetable stand around the corner provided fresh vegetables and fruits . Indian river boulevard provided a wonderful walking and biking second to none We had a great time of course the visits from the resident peacocks were delightful . We did miss a second tv in the bedroom otherwise great house highly recommended .
So glad you enjoyed. Come back soon! By the way, we now have a second TV!
