2 Bedroom, 1 Bath Apartment, Fully Equipped Kitchen, Washer/dryer

Please note, I am having some issues our City's zoning ordinances, so at this time I am showing monthly rates. For my family and friends who look at my calendar, call me when you want to visit. 850-370-0463.

This cozy and comfortable two bedroom/one bath apartment is attached to my home. I live in the historic district in Apalachicola and a steamboat builder built my house in the late 1800’s. In the south, homes were built with the kitchens not part of the main house to prevent the heat going into the home. This apartment at one time was the original kitchen and later attached to the main house. My Mother-In-Law lived in the apartment until she went into nursing care. The apartment has been painted and has new carpet. There is a Queen bed (with new mattress) in the master bedroom. The second bedroom has a full size bed. The bathroom has a walk-in shower. There is also a Queen sleeper sofa in the living room. There is basic cable TV and a DVD player. Free WiFi. The apartment has a fully equipped kitchen with dishes, pots and pans, flatware, full size refrigerator, stove, microwave, coffee maker, toaster and blender. (Sorry, no dishwasher). There is a washer/dryer unit in the apartment. You will have a small private screened in porch. Plenty of free parking, plus there is room to park your boat/trailer. You are minutes to our Battery Park Marina and one block to the beautiful Apalachicola Bay. This is an extremely safe community and the apartment is in a very quiet residential neighborhood. This is a great area to take walks and to ride bikes. It is about a five-minute walk to our quaint downtown shopping area. We have absolutely fantastic restaurants! Our beautiful St. George Island is less than a 15-minute drive. Extra amenities can be provided for reasonable fees; such as daily housekeeping.

About Judi Stokowski

I initially moved to Apalachicola in 1984 and have really enjoyed living here. It is a beautiful area and a very safe community. I have lived in Illinois, South Florida, Central Florida, Washington DC and Atlanta, and I love this part of North Florida. We only have one traffic light in our entire County and very light traffic.

I have traveled frequently for fun and for business. My best memories are places I have stayed that are not so typical. VRBO offers unique places to stay. When we have visitors to our area, they will ask, “where to the locals eat?”, or they will comment, “I wish I lived here”. I think staying in an apartment gives our guests an opportunity to what it feels like to live in a quaint, quiet and laid back community.

What makes this apartment unique

There are many nice places to stay within my community. My goal is for my guests to have a nice pleasant stay and have a memorable experience. Our beaches are beautiful, our restaurants are fantastic, our Apalachicola Oysters are the best oysters in the World!

My husband and I very much enjoyed our stay. The apartment was clean and conveniently well stocked with items to make our stay comfortable. The location was perfect. Pet friendly - We had our 2 dogs with us and the neighborhood was a delightful place for morning walks. Enjoyed morning coffee on the screened porch.

Winter Relief

Judi's place was perfect for our winter getaway. We have never stayed in a place better equipped or better located for what we wanted to do. It is exactly as described in the vrbo ad. There were several days we did not start our car. We could walk or bike to everything we needed or wanted to do.

Judi's cottage is perfect. The location is great and she's a fantastic host. Plus the price is right

We so enjoyed Apalachicola. Staying in Judi's cottage made our visit exceptional. She's a great historian who truly loves to share her knowledge. She's also familiar with the daily happenings making her a key resource. All of which we appreciated.

The location can't be beat. Just blocks from downtown and very close to both the river and the bay, we walked and biked everyday. The cottage is well appointed, neat and clean, and our kitty loved the screen porch.

We enjoyed eating out in the many fine dining establishments, kayaking with the Riverkeeper folks, experiencing the river during the EcoTour from the Maritime Museum, live music beer wine peanuts and meeting locals at Bowery Station, birdwatching, and just hanging out. The pub menu at the Gibson is great and Betsy and Shawn welcomed us warmly. Chef Brett, proprietor of the Gormley has a distinct style, blending fine dining with down home southern, you won't want to miss it.

Apalachicola, lots to see and do. Judi's cottage is the best base to do it all from.

Our visit to the apartment was wonderful Judi has everything set up nicely Closer to a bed-and-breakfast Because she furnishes so many extras it is so clean we were very impressed and mostly done in white makes it so crisp and clean We also brought our boxer And he was right at home The screen porch is a bonus we visited the week of Halloween and enjoyed Having trick-or-treaters so many of them Judi dresses up too for the kids she is an amazing person and caters to your every need Sure hope to visit again
