This room provides a twin bed and trundle twin bed that would be comfortable for two people traveling together in a shared room. Room 203 is on the second floor of the house. In the room is a dresser and uniquely large round mirror. The top drawer is really a desk; pull out the drawer, press the metal clasps and the drawer front will hinge down to become a desk. Pull up one of the chairs if you want to get some work done in your room. However you are welcome to work downstairs on the first floor at the desk with the fax/copier too. You are welcome to open the window or use the AC unit. Step back in time and use the shutters to cover the windows. You have a choice of two bathrooms depending on which door you use. Across the hall is the 'blue' bathroom and adjacent is the 'yellow' bathroom; both are included in the photos.
Your reservation includes a deluxe continental breakfast that you can customize when you arrive. In the breakfast room, hot coffee/tea are available all day.
We are located in the northwest section of Philadelphia just minutes from Center City, Historic Germantown is where one of Philadelphia's Revolutionary War Battles was fought; where the first-ever American protest against slavery was written; and where one of the few remaining houses on the Underground Railroad still stands.
The first floor is open for your use. Enjoy the sitting area, work area with fax/copier, the living room with a large screen television, and the side porch glider for people watching or take in the evening breeze. The breakfast room is available for any brought in meals as we appreciate food not being brought into the bedrooms. Plates, cups, utensils, napkins are available for your use.
There is ample free street parking in front of the house. Additional parking can be found in the Municipal lot around the corner. Public transportation by bus is located at the near intersection. The regional rail line is an easy five block walk. Bicycle trails to the city and challenging trails in Fairmount Park are a pedal away. The area is also served by Lyft and Uber.
You may check-in at 3:00pm (15:00) to 9:00pm (21:00) our latest time to arrive. We must end our work day at 9:00pm (21:00) to be ready for the next day of work. Quiet hours are from 10:00pm to 8:00am. Visitors or unregistered guests are not permitted in the house without a request made prior to your arrival.
We love Philadelphia and will give you suggestions of places to see, things to do and food to taste. If you don't see us around, we are just a call or text away.
