About Christina Zacharia
I'm originally from Greece and have now lived in Amsterdam for three and a half years. I still love Amsterdam and traveling. Jordaan is my favorite neighbhorhood, it has the sense of living in the authentic picturesque Amsterdam you see in pictures without too many tourists.
Christina Zacharia purchased this Apartment in 2017
Why Christina Zacharia chose Jordaan
This apartment will give you the authentic feeling of being a local living in the Jordaan. All the important sights are a short walk away, but importantly you are surrounded by the local shops, markets, restaurants, and cafe's of the Jordaan. You could spend a weekend here and never have to wander farther than 100 meters away from the apartment!

Wonderful introduction to Amsterdam!
Christina’s apartment more than met our expectations. It was well furnished, the location was perfect and we walked everywhere. Panini was wonderful when we arrived and answered all our questions.
Loved hearing the bells from Westerkerk and we enjoyed sitting on the back deck.
We would love to return to Amsterdam and reserving this apartment would be our first task.
Thank you, Christina and Paini, for a wonderful stay!
Perfect! It's central, clean, well equipped and spacious.
Christine's Jordaan apartment was exactly what we were looking for. We spent five great days and enjoyed all amsterdam has to offer. The apartment was spotlessly clean, fully equipped to make a sandwich or dinner. Comfortable bed, roomy living room and modern bathroom with plenty of fluffy towels. Shampoo etc. We could not ask for anything more! Stairs are a bit steep but manageable and wider than the usual Dutch staircases. Be careful if you have mobility issues though.
The street is busy and can be noisy but the windows are triple glazed and keep out the noise. The bedroom is at the back of the apartment and very quiet however.
Paini was waiting for us and gave us the tour plus left her phone number in case we needed her. Christine checked in with us well. Please consider this apartment for your visit to Amsterdam, the photos are honest. The Dutch sweet treats and the bottle of wine were a welcome bonus!
The Jordaan neighborhood is beautiful and the apartment is right in the middle of it all! Necessities like a pharmacy, grocery store, restaurants, and tram/bus stops are very close to the apartment. Plus, many of the sites and attractions are within walking distance. In fact, during a 4-night stay we used the tram (or bus) only three times and walked the remainder of the time.
We instantly loved the apartment upon arrival. It is charming, spacious, clean, and well appointed. The bed was comfortable, the shower was just right, I would have taken the couch with me if it could have fit in my luggage, the kitchen was one of the best I've had with a VRBO stay, and the balcony was a great place to start or end the day. Oh...and that dining room table!
Most importantly, dealing with Christina was a pleasure. She is responsive and quite helpful. She also provides a list of suggested sites and restaurants which is a great complement to the usual stuff you may find online.
Location, cleanliness, design of the apartment, and Christina are the reasons why I titled my review as "Perfect".
The perfect central location with the most comfortable apartment!
Our host was perfect, sent lots of trip ideas and things to see! Sadly I couldn’t make it but my husband was thrilled with my choice of stay for the trip and had the most comfortable break away!
We thoroughly enjoyed staying at Christina’s property. It was very clean & comfortable. Also close to lots of restaurants, Anne Frank house, Westerkerk. Paini met us at the apartment & showed us where everything was/how it worked. There were extra perks of shampoo, hand cream, coffee, spices & we made breakfast each morning b4 sightseeing.
Great stay in city center!
It was very nice to have room to spread out in for our first three nights in Amsterdam. We could walk or easily take the tram to any place we wanted to visit. It was very clean and comfortable. The caretaker who met us was very helpful and friendly, too. The only drawbacks were the narrow winding staircase up to our room and a loose, very squeaky board in the hallway floor. We hope that we did not bother the downstairs tenants too much. :-)
This is the famous Jordaan neighborhood in Amsterdam. I love it because it is the genuine Amsterdam. You can walk anywhere in the center within 15 minutes but also easily spend a weekend here without walking more than 150 meters with everything within a stone's throw. Trendy shops, bakeries, cafe's, and restaurants are peppered all around. The Anne Frank House is a short walk on the Prinsengracht.
In this neighborhood everything is pretty much within 10-15 minutes walking, so I would really recommend walking or renting a bicycle. There is a tram stop a two minute walk away (13 and 17) and also a bus stop. Getting to and from Schiphol Airport you take bus 197 (10 minute walk) which comes about 3 times an hour, costs 4 Euro, and takes about 35 minutes. If you prefer to get a ride, I recommend an Uber, it will cost about 23 Euro and take ~25 minutes. To and from Centraal Station you can take Tram 17 or 13 and takes about 11 minutes. If you are going to use the public transport I suggest you buy a 24 or 48 hour pass. Otherwise you will pay 2.70 Euro for a single 1-hour ride pass!
