Space
My flat features a large living room, which is composed of two rooms opening on each other. Three large windows adorn the space allowing plenty of light and sunshine, in the morning. Space is charming, welcoming, warm and comfortable in all ways. You will feel totally at home.
Guest access
Guests can access all areas of the apartment.
Guest interaction
I leave guests alone in the space once they have moved in. Check-in is made by myself when I am available, and by a maintenance agency when I am not.
Neighborhood Overview
There are farmers' markets Tuesdays, Fridays, and Sundays. The Metro station is very close, and the City Hall of 18th arrondissement is 5 minutes away. There are many interesting cafes and restaurants in the area.
Getting around
Very close to public transportation both to Line 4 and Line 12, as well as many bus services such as 85 (goes to Chatelet and St. Michel) and 80 (goes to Place Clichy and Champs Elysees). Almost everything can be found at walking distance, including supermarkets, pharmacies, shops, and every other need you may have.
Other things to note
Minimum booking is 4 nights 5 days. Unfortunately, due to my frequent absences, I am unable to let the place for shorter periods of time, as I need to pay someone to help with the check-in and check-out.
Sheet/Towel Package
If you are interested in having your sheets prepared, towels provided for your arrival, and changed, to be laundered once you have left, please advise.
There is an additional 60 Euro surcharge for this service.

This is a typical Parisian apartment in the Haussmann stye which is the most desirable and solid building style in Paris. It is decorated tastefully in an artistic and intellectual way and can be a wonderful way to experience real Parisian life when visiting Paris.
The area is very safe and friendly with shops open late and transportation being so accessible and close by.
You will feel very much at home in this apartment, as it has everything you might ever need. So all you have to worry about is your own clothes and toiletries. Everything else is available and provided. The Kitchen is a very pleasant and you will love to cook meals and stay home or enjoy the restaurants that are within a short 3-5 minute walking distance. This is your home away from home in the real Parisian sense.
Elevator building
Safe access through Digi code and interphone
Bright and airy, with 7 windows in all. Three of which in the living room, letting in sun, wind and some of the Paris sounds. Once closed it is all quiet again, thanks to the double glazed windows.
Close to restaurants, supermarket, Picard, boulangerie, and should you wear out your shoes from walking a lot, site seeing, there is even a shoe repair right outside the building.
I enjoyed 2 weeks in this funky, artsy, comfortable apartment.
Located steps away from the Simplon metro station, and a short walk to the Jules Joffrin station and served by many good bus lines, I was never more than 5-20 minutes away from anywhere I need to go. A bonus was the the little elevator that was working!
Shopping was easy with an inexpensive supermarket across the street and the vibrant open air marche 3 times a week just outside the front door. Within a few days, I already had my favorite merchants for bread, roast chickens, halal lamb and other take out food, plus household goods from little family-run shops.
The appliances and electronics in the apartment were a bit on the older side, so it took an effort to learn how to use them. The owner advised me via email and I eventually was able to cook meals on the induction stove and use the dishwasher and washing machine. I was not as lucky with the new cable TV system which had just been installed. But the new high speed WiFi worked well, so I was able to catch up on some French TV shows on Netflix.
The living room seemed to have double paned windows, making it very quiet, despite the traffic on Blvd Ornano below. Unfortunately, the bathroom and bedroom did not seem to be similarly, so it could be a bit noisy at night. Since this apartment is not as renovated and newly furnished as other rentals I've stayed in, you could really get a feel for what it was like to live as a resident in this neighborhood. That was special. I no longer felt like a tourist.
I love this part of the 18th arr, which is ethnically diverse and away from the very touristy areas -- which I still I like to visit but not live nearby. Many thanks to the owner, Nora, for sharing her home with me for this short time and being so accessible to me when trying to figure out how to operate her appliances.
Very well served with all amenities and food and recreation providers.
