Spacious and Cozy with Room for 8 Guests to Enjoy a Sierra Getaway
Robert and Lisa McLean
Why Robert and Lisa McLean chose Arnold
The cabin was built by my family in the 1970's, passing to us in 2012. It is our home away from home and we like to come here to unwind and enjoy nature. We have recently upgraded the two bathrooms, the deck and flooring. We hope you enjoy our cozy cabin as much as we do!

Very nice cabin for a vacation
Location is good if you are looking for secluded place. Still less then 10 mins to drive to downtown of Arnold. Delivery works from certain places even though there is no cell coverage! The cabin is very well equipped for whatever needed during vacation. We didn’t find any shampoo/shower gel though. But this was small thing we buy next day. Overall very satisfied ! Thanks Robert and Lisa!
We had a wonderful, relaxing time in this very well kept, charming cabin. From the well furnished rooms, comfortable beds, nicely remodeled bathrooms, and very clean amenities, this cabin was a pleasant surprise...we’ll definitely return.
This cabin in Arnold was just right for our two families of four. We had enough space for all of us to sleep comfortably and the game room for our teenagers was perfect. Everything was clean and well stocked. We would definitely stay here again.
Great Thanksgiving Stay
This cabin worked out very well for us (6 adults+toddler).
We were vacationing in Blue Lake Springs for a few days over the Thanksgiving Holiday, and one major concern was having a kitchen that was properly stocked with all the necessary cooking utensils, pans, appliances, etc. We were pleasantly surprised that all that we needed was at the cabin, and even more. Many nice touches!
For our family group, the cabin worked well. The images presented on the website reflected well on what we experienced when we arrived, with the downstairs game room being a great feature allowing the family to spread out across the 3 floors of the cabin. No cabin fever here.
We did get hit with highly unusual snow/cold for November, and the cabin remained warm and comfortable with an automatic heating system. It also has a nice wood stove with a large supply of wood (although we did not use...due to a toddler's curious fingers). Note that the steps down to the cabin from the driveway took some care to negotiate due to the snow/ice...but it is winter time, and this is not unexpected. This could present a problem though for someone with mobility issues (elderly, etc).
Unfortunately, due to the snow and cold, we were unable to use the back deck and gazebo, which extends the cabin's usable 'space' to a nice quiet, wooded setting. We can imagine it would be really easy to enjoy some great times relaxing, entertaining, bbqing, etc on the deck during the spring/summer/fall when the weather is better.
Overall, this was great home, location, and one that we would return to in the future.
Hi Bob, Thank you so much for the kind words. We're so glad you enjoyed your stay. And I'm happy we had everything you needed to make that Turkey Day dinner.
We hope you can come back again in Summer and enjoy the gazebo and deck... It's a beautiful time of year anytime you're in the Sierras. :)
Take Care, Bob & Lisa
We had the most relaxing vacation in years! The cabin is amazing and is everything we had hoped for. Kitchen is stocked with everything you could possibly need. Beds are extremely comfortable. Best of all was the seclusion and and peacefulness!
Definitely will be back and will recommend to all my friends and family.
Thank you for sharing your beautiful cabin!
