This is a beautiful, 3 bedroom, 2 1/2 bath home Directly on the Weeki Watchee River. We are known as the " Clock House" as the State Park maintains a clock on our boat house with directions to Rogers Park.
From the moment you pass through the hidden gate into the lushly landscaped entry path, the magic of this home is apparent. Our premier location on the river is one of the best, with deep water right off of the long riverfront dock and across river is a huge, protected, wilderness area. Out property has a new 8' fence on both sides so that your visit is very private.
There is a unique (only one on the whole river) boathouse with an automatic garage door. So you can board your kayaks (we have 4) or paddleboards in the boathouse and paddle out.
Of special note, the State Park is now limiting the number of boats they will launch, therefore being right on the river is more important than ever.
On the ground floor, the entire house is tiled. You come into a nice foyer with the laundry and half bath to your right and the living/kitchen area the left. Ground floor master bedroom and bath are all wood paneled walls and ceiling.
The beautiful full equipped kitchen has stainless appliances, shaker cabinets, and granite counters. There is a huge window facing the patio and river.
There is a narrow, long, screened porch just out of the kitchen sliding glass doors for when there may be a few bugs around.
You access the second floor via beautiful spiral stairs and it has a living room with a fold out couch, two bedrooms with queen beds and a full bath.
The river deck is huge with pavers and wood decking. We have a shelter with table and chairs for six. There is also a brand new gas grill with a side burner, so you can cook and eat right on the river.
This is very nice home, very well outfitted, very well located, and very nice owners. We will make sure everything is as perfect as we can so that your vacation is a great success.
Oh, never a day goes by that you don't see a manatee or two (or more)

About John Nock
We live and work in St Augustine in the building, rental, and self storage business. Four great children that love the river as much as we do.
John Nock purchased this House in 2017
Why John Nock chose Spring Hill
This home is probably one of the best situated on the Weeki River It is one mile from Rogers Park (the take out point) and four miles from the State Park. So kayaking and paddleboarding right from the deck is so easy. Also the home is just beautiful with tile floors and some all wood paneled rooms. Of great importance is that across the river is a very large conservation area. So no homes on the South side of the river, just beautiful woods. And there is even a boat garage complete with an automatic door. You can leave your kayaks in the water, or stash you small power boat inside. Please consider our current lack of reviews since we just purchased this home. Perhaps look at our other two homes on the Weeki to see how well they are reviewed.
What makes this House unique
The popularity of the Weeki has caused the State Park overload on the launches. They have gone to a reservation system. Between that and very limited parking, its hard to get on the river some days. So kayaking right from home you can go as often, long or short trips, as you like. Paddle, come cook lunch on the grill right on the river, and go back out again. This home is very boat friendly, just tie up on the river and take sunset cruises to the Gulf every evening. We have a new concept, courtesy of a guest. This home is an ideal location for your wedding. The large paver deck, right on the river makes a very romantic location. And we have two other homes, right on the river and nearby, for your guests. Please contact us for special package pricing. There is plenty of parking for you, your guests, and your boat trailer.

Fantastic location and owner!
My family had a wonderful time at the Clock House! The porch and patio right by the river are among the nicest around. We had the good fortune to meet the owner, John, who happened to be in town that day who was most helpful. Having the kayaks at the home right by the water was a big plus for us. Several good restaurants close by as well. (close to Rogers Park.) We had a relaxing few days and would go back!
We are very gratified that your visit was a success.
Please come back.
My family and I stayed at the Clock House for a long weekend getaway......this place is paradise!!!! We loved it.......I only wish that we had been able to stay longer than we did. We will definitely be coming back, hoping to make this an annual vacation destination for the entire family.
Amazing house on the Weeki!
The house was beautiful and had everything we needed for our trip. There were plenty of sleeping accommodations for the 7 people we had. We visit the Weeki every year and this is by far our favorite rental on the river. We will definitely book this house again.
That’s great. Please come again

another wonderful get away
We had such a wonderful time fishing, swimming and kayaking. It is so peaceful and quiet at night. We actually saw fire flies one night as we sat out back and fished a little. We also saw an amazing sunset at pine island beach. The entire family had a great time! We love this place and that is why we keep coming back!
Beautiful place and river
We were happy to see manatees and want to come back.
Great outdoor living!
My family and I (6 adults) really enjoyed our stay at the Clock House. The weather was a little cooler than we expected, but it warmed up during the days and we spent most of our time relaxing on the back patio, listening to music, sipping wine, and people watching. We saw several manatees swim by each day and fished straight off the patio (caught an eel 😮). We also borrowed the kayaks and made our way to the Upper Deck for lunch one day. It's a beautiful spot and we will definitely consider returning. The only downside is the noseeums that tore us up at dusk each night.
Directly on the cool, clear, Weeki Watchee River.
Great swimming, kayaking, paddleboarding, birding, and manatee watching.
