About Russ Anger
A resident of Sonoma County in the heart of the Russian River Wine Valley. Although I have a big love for world travel, I love the Northern California Coast in particular and all it has to offer. I love to kayak, fish, forage seaweed, explore the shores for treasures and sometimes just hide away in a sandy cove with a book and a cold beer.
Russ Anger purchased this House in 2013
Why Russ Anger chose Jenner
It is rare to find a property like this along the water. So when the chance presented itself I jumped. It was the right decision. Although I don't get to spend as much time there as I would like, I get so much positive feedback from the guests experience. Beautiful area...so much nature and fun things to see and find as you hike. I love to explore! The kayaking on timber cove is great! The sparsely populated area is always a welcomed get away. I really enjoy being on the beach, and in this area you can find great little sandy beaches, and have them all to yourself! For years I drove up to Timber Cove area either for the day or to camp overnight.
What makes this House unique
Next to the ocean, many state parks nearby including historic Fort Ross, beaches and wineries. Two restaurants close by, and many more if you want to explore Highway 1. Fort Ross State Historic Park...approximately two miles south. Over 3,000 acres that includes a wonderful visitor's center with interpretive exhibits, a museum bookstore, heirloom gardens, hiking trails, sheltered Sandy Cove Beach, and great ocean views. Salt Point State Park...approximately 4 miles to our north...over 6,000 acres, that includes one of California's first underwater parks, and also hosts a friendly visitor's center offering plant identification walks and activities for children. See the sandstone that played a vital role in the construction of San Francisco in the 1800s. The park has more than 20 miles of hiking and equestrian trails. Kruse Rhododendron State Natural Reserve: Adjoins Salt Point State Park with 3 miles of pristine hiking trails. Beginning in late April the reserve comes to life as the beautiful pink Rhododendron blossoms appear throughout the redwood forest. Whale Watching: The excitement is contagious during whale season. Join others who head west to view the annual whale migration. Grey Whales migrate south between November and January to birth, and return with their new calves between February and April. Look for the distinctive big blow, followed by the little blow of the young calf. Fishing and Diving: A myriad of fish species live in our coastal waters. This is a very good spot for surf, spear, and rod & reel fishing. Abalone aficionados come out in full force April 1st when the season opens. For more information on fishing and diving regulations, contact the Department of Fish and Game @ www.dfg.ca.gov Mushroom Foraging: The North Coast is well known for its seasonal, wild mushroom hunting. Intrepid foragers arrive in the area a few weeks after the first rains in late fall, as the area literally comes alive with an abundance of delicious wild

Comfortable place on the beautiful North California coast
We enjoyed our stay near Timber Cove a lot. It’s a convenient location to explore the area between Bodega Bay and Sea Ranch. The property is spacious, well-maintained and comfortable. The owner a/o property manager is very responsive.
Thanks for being great guests and please come back again soon.
Well-appointed ocean view cottage
Lovely rental, cozy, but plenty of room to spread out, nice beachy decor, great location.
We would definitely rent again.
Great meeting you. Glad you enjoyed your stay and hope to see you again.
Wonderful family get-together on the west coast!
We enjoyed our stay at Sea Crest. It was a very comfortable house and everything we needed was there. We had a really great time! Thank you, Russ!
Thanks for being such great guests and for leaving the house so nice. Glad you had a great time. Happy Travels!
This was a truly special place. Quiet, clean, comfortable. Russ has done a lovely job of setting up a perfect weekend house. We were close to the ocean, had plenty of coastline to view and drove into Jenner for dinner one night. Thank you for providing such a welcoming home away from home.
Thanks for the kind words and for being such great guests. Please come back anytime.
Wonderful Oceanside retreat
One of the best rentals ever. The home was very comfortable for a party of 5 (my wife and myself and our adult children). Living room was perfect for sitting around at night, while the porch was perfect for dinner and a hot tub. Nicely furnished, felt very homey. Location was ideal for exploring the coastal parks. Some great dining choices just up the road too. Overall a perfect weekend getaway. Communication with owner beforehand was easy and we didn’t need to call during. I’d give this 6 stars if allowed.
Thanks you so much. It was great having you as guests and thanks for leaving everything so nice. Glad you had a good experience and come back again!
Home was very nice and inviting. The jacuzzi was dirty and unclean with an odor. We could not use.
Great location- clean home with comfortable living quarters. Jacuzzi is in bad condition - please don’t plan to use it had rust in the inside!
Hi there, Glad you liked the house and location. The hot tub is an older model I chose to keep vs new because of design, bench down each side- can no longer find. Cost on refurbishing (all the insides) was more expensive than buying a new one, so although it is older model everything but the fiber glass shell is new within the last few years including a new heating element about a month ago. It is all fiber glass, so not sure what you mean by rust. I have PM you to try and find out more. The tub gets cleaned between each guest stay so I am not sure what happened but I apologize that you were not happy. I did try and send out a maintenance person, but you sent him away. Thanks so much and happy travels to you.
