Operating Portland City permit# is: 16-139625-000-00-HO. This Three bedroom home offers your choice of any 2 out of the three bedrooms (king bed, Queen Bed, or Queen bedrooms with Trundle). The city allows vacation rentals for 2 out of 3 bedrooms- (please call or text for more details). This lovely vintage home is well liked and sleeps up to 6 adults, (and a couple of kids)- comfortably in 3 bedrooms (5 beds)/ 2.5 bathrooms. This home is located just steps from the best that Northwest Portland has to offer- AND we have one dedicated parking space which is super rare in Portland (even though you don't need a car). The home has a walkscore of 97!--dubbed a 'walker's paradise.'
The closest grocery store is Trader Joes, and there are literally 115 restaurants- some of Portland's BEST-- within a 15 minute walk. My home is in the center of the very popular and desirable NW 23rd and 21st Avenues, also known as 'Nob Hill' or the 'Historic Alphabet' district. You can walk to Salt and Straw Ice Cream (ONE BLOCK), and exactly 2 blocks from Papa Hayden Restaurant-, and 5 blocks away from the Good Samaritan hospital. This area has an eclectic flair, mixing high-fashion and decor with a touch of old-world class. The Nob Hill shopping district is home to the best Europen pastires, northwest coffees, Oregon Micro-brews, fine art, jewelry, pubs, spas, galleries, and rare antiques-- all just steps from this perfectly located home. Even Pottery Barn, Restoration Hardware, are just a few blocks away. Getting to the Pearl district is just a quick 10 minute walk, (or 3 minutes by public transit).
Watch your favorite soccer team try to defeat the MLS Champs! The Portland Timbers stadium is walkable too (only 3/4 mile), so leave your car parked at the house, and join the many TIMBERS fans as they stroll NW 23rd on game day- and walk to the Timbers stadium- JUST 10 MINUTE WALK!!!
For those who have young kids and family to entertain, the Portland Zoo, OMSI (science buffs), Portland's famous Rose garden, and the Portland Art museum are less than 15 minutes from here by car, (or 25 minutes by transit). The airport is a breeze from my home! Just 15 minutes by car, (or 30 minutes by public transport) and train station, although not recommended-- is less than 2 miles away. This location is unbeatable!
Also, for concerts-- The MODA center, and the Convention center are walkable, easy cab, or public transit. I am serious when I say this location is UNBEATABLE, book soon, summer and fall fill up super fast- SERIOUSLY! Long term bookings- please inquire WELL IN ADVANCE!
I am a mother of three great kids, and used to be a former financial consultant before becoming a full time mom. I love people, and I love working with people. Having this home has allowed me to have a business on the side which doesn't take away any time from my mohtering duties. I grew up in New Mexico, attended school in San Diego, CA, where I obtained a Business Degree, with a focus on Hotel/Restaurant Mangement. I then spent 10 years of my life in Sonoma, CA, where my kids were born. I love feedback, and I hope that if you decide to stay at the home, that you will like it and come back! I have met so many nice people through VRBO. All my guests are so interesting, amazing-- AND NICE!!!
Lisa purchased this house in 2013
This location is perfect, because you can walk to the most popular bars and restaurants and cafes. I love the shopping and the culture of this area. This area of Portland has a very European styled transport system; you can get anywhere by foot or transit; very easily. We want your stay to be as special for you as it is for us.
Perfect location! I love walking to everything from this home, and the ability for me to enjoy the wonderful city of Portland without ever having to drive! And the views from the home are very peaceful and calming. Dining out on the back deck is entertaining and private, and I enjoy the 'art of people watching' from my front deck!
Our group of "girls" have been best friends for 60 years and had a fabulous vacation in this charming area of Portland. To start with, Lisa was helpful from the beginning. I never felt that I was bothering her with questions before the trip, she is extremely accommodating. During our stay we never needed to contact her but know if we had Lisa would have been right there. This beautiful Victorian home is bright and clean, which is extremely important. The furniture is comfortable and the home is nicely decorated, no clutter, which we all appreciated. All the beds are marvelous, we commented how comfortable they were. A difficult task to fulfill for seven "67" year olds. Had such a memorable, time all laughing and talking in the cozy living room, which looks out onto the beautiful tree line street through a bay window. Located in a perfect spot! Literally two homes from the lively 23rd street scene with fabulous restaurants and shops. Really not necessary to rent a vehicle, able to get around the wonderful city with uber and city transportation. We all want to return to this walkable area again and look forward to staying in this beautiful home. Thank you Lisa.
Wonderful location. Classic but cozy home with lots of features to make your stay perfect. Lisa has done a great job making het home ferl like your home! Definitely will come again
We recently completed a 5 week stay at Lisa's home and we could not have been happier. The home is great - more than enough room for a family of 4 with outdoor space both in the front and in the back (and the home is furnished/supplied with everything you will need for your stay....especially AC, a lot of the homes in Portland do not have AC and it can get hot). Not only is the home great but the location cannot be beat. Just steps from 23rd which is the best street in the Alphabet Distrcit and few blocks from the Street Car which can get you to all areas of Portland (we only used our car to get out of town for hikes, etc).
Lisa is great to work with and very responsive. I highly recommend her home for anyone wanting to visit Portland.
Our family could not have been happier with this home! First, Lisa is very kind, responsive and easy to work with. She provided everything we needed, including a pack-n-play for our little guy. The home is beautiful and had plenty of room for our family. The outdoor spaces in back and in front of the house were very nice. The location is unbeatable! It is located in a very nice neighborhood with many restaurants, bars and shopping that are within walking distance. It is also in close proximity to other desired neighborhoods, so a very quick uber ride is convenient. I'd definitely recommend this home to a family looking for a good amount of space in a wonderful neighborhood. Thank you, Lisa!
The house was in an area we quickly discovered was one of our favorites in Portland. We spent countless hours shopping and dining on 23rd. Lisa, the owner, left us detailed reviews of her favorite places both near to the house and in the Portland area in general. We tried several of these recommendations and they were spot on. I would highly recommend Portland as a travel destination and you can't go wrong with this home and it's owner. We will definitely be back!
This charming little Victorian home allows you pretend you are a Portland native for a few days, walking to wonderful little shops and restaurants, grocery stores and bakeries. The location is absolutely ideal, yet surprisingly quiet at night when you want to rest.
The home is very clean and very well-equipped. The kitchen is large, bright and gourmet. The dining room is generous and comfortable. All 2.5 bathrooms are very new and spotless, and nicely decorated. The outdoor space is surrounded by greenery, pleasant and private. The beds were comfortable and sheets and towels were good quality. Full laundry facilities in the spotless basement.
I can't see why anyone would opt for a hotel when you can have such a charming, roomy home in the heart of things, for a very reasonable price. Highly recommended.
This perfectly located 3 Bedroom vintage gem is in the heart of Portland, in the super popular NW 23rd and 21st Avenues. On the corner of 23rd and NW Hoyt, steps from the best restaurants, ice cream shops, and boutiques. Just a 10 minute walk to the Downtown Pearl area. Walk to Good Sumaritan Hospital, movie theaters, markets, cafes and eateries. Leave your car at home! The street car and other Public transportation hubs are just a couple of blocks away, and the train station is less than 2 miles from the home. If you do bring your car however, we have parking for you! Walk to salt and straw ice cream, and even the TIMBERS game!
