5 bedroom chalet to sleep 10 people, located 10 mins drive from Morzine

Chalet Iona is the ideal chalet for families and groups looking for a luxury retreat for their ski holiday. This stunning 5 bedroom chalet, completed in 2007, was built and designed as a family home and is decorated and furnished to an exceptionally high standard. The chalet is laid out over 3 floors and offers 5 star accommodation and breathtaking views. There are 5 beautifully decorated bedrooms, all en-suite, which can sleep up to 10 people.

The large open plan living & dining area gives a sense of space without losing the warmth of the room created by the log fire. There is also a large dining area with seating for 10 people adjacent to the fully fitted kitchen.

The chalet is situated on the slopes of Mont d'Evian, above the charming village of St Jean d'Aulps. It is just a 5 minute drive from the nearest ski slopes in La Grande Terche and only 10 minutes from the centre of Morzine.

Walking: There are many walking trails in the area for all levels of fitness. You can also make use of the a network of 24 ski lifts during the peak summer months, to avoid the worst of the climbs!

Mountain Biking: Morzine and the Portes du Soleil offers some of the best mountain biking in Europe. The area has over 650km of marked trails which are served by 24 chair lifts. There is something for all level of ability including bike parks, single track and cross country.

Swimming: There is a large open air swimming pool located 10 minutes away in Morzine. It has 3 pools and landscaped gardens ideal for sunbathing and plenty of space for children to play.

Alternatively there is Lac Montriond, which is a delightful spot for swimming, sunbathing and relaxing. There is also a supervised children pool area open in the summer months.

About Jo Miller

Chalet des Fleurs is an established company with over 8 years experience of providing holiday rentals in Morzine, les Gets & St Jean d’Aulps.

It is run by Jo Miller, who has lived in the area for 12 years, and assisted by her partner, Hervé Gaillard, who was born and bred in the area. Between them they have a wealth of local knowledge & an enthusiasm for the area. Jo will meet you at the chalet on your arrival, and will be on hand to assist you for the duration of your stay.

All our properties are independently owned and have been selected by us based on our experience of what guests look for in a holiday home.

Our aim is to make your holiday as hassle free as possible, starting with the booking process right down to helping you organise any extra services through our network of professionals, such as ski lessons , ski hire and ski passes . You can even opt for a fully catered package if you want the flexibility of a self catered holiday but don’t want to cook every night.

Chalet Iona was built for an english couple in 2007. It was designed as a family home, rather than a rental property, so no expense has been spared on the fixtures and fittings, which sets it apart from the other holiday homes in the area.

A beautiful chalet, in an amazing setting! The effort you have put in to make this a beautiful home. We have had a fabulous week and would definately recommend the white water rafting, Lac Montriond and a trip up to Avoriaz....the views are amazing!

Lovely Chalet Iona

The only thing not perfect about this chalet is that it does not belong to us!

Everything about it is second to none from the beautiful aspect, to the stunning design, well appointed kitchen, open plan living area with stunning views across the mountains.

The bedrooms are tastefully decorated, warm and comfortable with lovely en-suites and in the case of the master, a fabulous walk in shower and vast bath.

We were a group of 11 - 2 families and a couple. Access to the slopes was arranged via a shuttle bus. Nobody wanted to leave this chalet to go home! And the upshot of what was pronounced "the best ski holiday ever" is that we have been totally spoiled.

Superb

This property is excellent, we went as 2 families total of 11 people, there was more than enough room, it was of first class standard, we all loved it, i would recommend anyone to stay here.

Chalet Iona

This is a beautifully appointed chalet in a quiet location with magnificent views. The struggle up the hill is more than made up for by the setting and the quiet. The skiers amongst us were happy to go off to Ardent everyday (15 minutes by car, free parking), where they could access the whole of the Portes du Soleil while others could walk, drive into Morzine, or just enjoy the space and quiet at the chalet. Everything is nicely fitted, the beds are comfortable and it feels more like a home than a rental chalet. This was our second visit and I have no doubt we will be back for more.

Beautiful chalet

We, a group of 11, stayed one week in Chalet Iona. The chalet is beautiful. Spacious bedrooms and bathrooms, cosy fireplace, good kitchen, very comfortable beds with good quality linen and towels. The chalet is in a good central location to reach various starting points for the Portes du Soleil area within about 20 minutes. You do need a car and when there is fresh snow you need to put the chains on, although the road does get cleared quite quickly. The Carrefour supermarket is close by and stocks everything you need if you opt for the self catered option which we did. We had a thoroughly enjoyable holiday and would certainly recommend this chalet.

Le chalet iona est à tout point parfait.

Toutes les chambres sont très spacieuses, le salon idem, l exposition parfaite , très bien ensoleillé.

Le chalet est très bien équipé, nous avons juste rajouté un essoreur à salade !

Comme à la maison

Nous avons passé 10 jours superbes nous nous sommes sentis chez nous tout de suite le chalet est très agréable et conforme aux photos. Chaque chambre est vraiment indépendante avec toilette et Salle de bain et les parties communes spacieuses et fonctionnelles. L accueil a était très chaleureux rien a redire sur les prestations excepté peut être la machine à café qui est encore à filtre 😝 une machine expresso aurait été le bienvenu. Nous reviendrons sûrement l année prochaine 🤗

The chalet is located above the charming village of St Jean d'Aulps. The village has several restaurants, a bar, bakers, butchers shop, bank and a convenience store. There is also a large Carrefore supermarket located a 5 minute drive from the chalet. It also just a 10 minute drive from the centre of Morzine, which has a larger selection of bars, shops & restaurants.

Golf: There are several excellent golf course within an easy drive of the chalet. Les Gets has an 18 hole golf course whilst there is an 9 hole course in Avoriaz. There are also championship courses at Evian and Chamonix.

Ski: Chalet Iona is located a 5 minute drive from the ski resort of La Grande Terche, which is ideal for families as it is not at all crowded and has minimal lift queues. The ski slopes in Morzine are just a 10 minute drive away, and from here you can either access the Les Gets side of the Portes du Soleil ski area or Avoriaz. Alternatively you can drive to the tele-cabine at Ardent, which is an easy 15 minute drive and there is plenty of parking at the bottom of the lift. From here you can easily access Avoriaz, Chatel and the other resorts on the Swiss side of the Portes du Soleil circuit.

The price is for rental of the whole chalet on a self catered basis and includes linen, towels, logs for the fire, WiFi internet access, and the end of stay clean.

Catering can be provided for one or all nights of your stay.

To confirm the booking we require a 30% deposit and the balance is payable 6 weeks prior to your arrival in resort.

A security deposit of Euro 600 is required on arrival at the chalet. This will be returned after your stay provided you leave the chalet in a reasonable condition, and there is no damage or breakages in the property.
