Overview

About the property

2 Bedrooms, 1 Bath, Sleeps 4-6

This charming 1940's cabin was remodeled in 2005 to the likes of a Bed and Breakfast. An open floor plan in the downstairs living and dining area makes it spacious and cozy. The homey pot belly stove keeps you plenty warm as you have fun filled family nights or a romantic evening. The fully equipped kitchen has cedar counter tops, and all the conveniences of home with a refrigerator, dishwasher, gas stove, and washer/dryer. Indulge the senses in a state of the art bathroom with imported hammered copper tub. A beautiful hand painted vanity with copper sink and cherry wood floors complete your spa experience. Right out the back door, is a large deck that is perfect for barbecuing and entertaining friends and family, or just having a romantic dinner for two. There are numerous places on the property to relax: a hammock for those who like to read, two nice reclining lounge chairs to look at the stars at night, or our comfy patio furniture to have your morning coffee or your glass of wine at night. For those who like evening walks, enjoy the beautiful surroundings our neighborhood has to offer. There are enough trees for your mountain experience but when the Dogwoods are in bloom, (Spring time), there is nothing like it...a must see!

We also have Lake Rights. Lake Arrowhead is a private lake and so you will be able to access the trails around the lake and beach clubs.

Come and stay with us, I don't think you will be disappointed. Every season has something special to offer you.

About Pam Schuberg

I grew up taking my family vacations up in Lake Arrowhead. I guess it made quite an impression on a lot of my siblings because my brother has lived up there for 25 years and a business owner of Timberline Design in Cedar Glen. My sister also bought a cabin in Lake Arrowhead and we try to plan our family vacations to this day around lake time. There is nothing better than mountain air and the beauty that Lake Arrowhead has to offer. I think you will understand more what I'm talking about once you have had a chance to stay with us.

Pam Schuberg purchased this cabin in 2005

Why Pam Schuberg chose Lake Arrowhead

This cabin is nestled amongst pine, fir and maple trees. When I first saw this property I instantly fell in love with it. I loved the location, close to everything: the village, shopping, skiing, restaurants and within an hour drive to Big Bear for a scenic drive.

Even though it was remodeled, the contractor kept the original 1940's charm. You feel like you are really in a cabin in the woods. It's so quiet that you can also hear the faint church bells in the distance...there's nothing like it!

What makes this cabin unique

This cabin is in a prime location to get anywhere quickly. We are not far from the 18 highway so you can start your stay right away. The Village is about a 3 minute drive, or 1.5 miles from the cabin. Hop on the 18 Hwy and you are at Snow Valley or Snow Summit within a half hour to an hour.

The property was perfect!!

  • 5 of 5

We can't thank Pam enough for allowing us to stay in her wonderful cabin. She has everything you could want for a relaxing stay with different spots outside to lounge and soak up the sun, and the kitchen had everything. We had a lot of TV options for good movies and we loved the blue tooth speaker (looked like an antique radio from the 40's) for our Iphone.

We look forward to another weekend in the beautiful setting of Lake Arrowhead.

Thanks, again, Pam

Monica

Owner's Response: Thank you Monica for your wonderful review! I'm so glad you had a chance to use the speaker system. When I saw it, I thought it would go great in the cabin because of what you stated, "it kept that rustic charm". Thanks for visiting and I hope you will return soon! Pam

Charming Cabin

  • 4 of 5

This Cabin was adorable. It was very clean. The only thing was the only bathroom is downstairs. At night it is a trek and noisy. The couch is not very comfortable either. All in all, we loved it and would love stay there again. Pam was great too!

Sincerely,

Bill & Herlinda

Nice Time

  • 4 of 5

We enjoyed our stay at this nicely appointed cabin, conveniently located off the highway. Notes for future visitors: although the designs are very aesthetically pleasing, some features are not the most functional: staircase is steep and handrail is awkward, and tub is tall to step into. If you have disabilities, be aware there is no paved path from parking to cabin, and only a stair entrance.

Owner's Response: Thank you Joy for your review. I feel like I need to address the couple remarks you noted. As in regards to the stairwell, it has been my experience in most cabins I have been in at Lake Arrowhead, that they are a little bit on the steeper side because they are cabins and not sprawling estates. If people mention to me ahead of time that they have disabilities or bringing an elderly parent, I will let them know that the cabin may not be a right fit for them. Your comfort at my cabin is important to me. It is also true that it is not level entry, there is one step up to the door and that usually doesn't pose a problem for most people. May I suggest that when booking on any website in the future, in fairness to the owner, you mention things that are a concern for comfort or enjoyment so they may be able to disclose everything to you. I also tried to take pictures of all angles inside and out so people can make a clear decision before booking. Thank you again for all your input and I hope I was helpful to you as well when booking for future vacations.

May 13th Weekend at Holly House

  • 1 of 5

Pam, my girlfriend and I were really impressed with the cabin and all it had to offer. Beautiful surroundings and cozy inside the cabin. Very clean and the beds were very comfortable . By far the best cabin I've rented. We did notice the sliding latch on the back door is hard to work and the remote for the channels was not working, so we did it manually from the cable box. Might just be the batteries. Not a big deal. Will certainly look forward to spending more weekends here. Thank you again.

Owner's Response: Thank you Joanne for your nice review. Sorry you had trouble with the star rating and trying to change it to a 5 star, (website won't change it once it has been posted). As far as the remote for the T.V., I'm sure it was a quick fix, next time please contact me so I can help you. I always check in with travelers to make sure they got to the cabin okay and ask them if they have any questions for me for that reason. I want your stay to be as pleasant as possible. Hope to see you again soon...Pam

Location

The 'Holly House' is in a great location, not far from Lake Arrowhead village and a short drive to nearby ski resorts for winter play. Lots of hiking trails nearby or if shopping is your thing, there is lots of that, too! With Blue Jay a stone throw away, there are plenty of restaurants to chose from. I personally, like making my meals and enjoying the surrounding of the cabin off the back deck. It is plenty spacious to entertain a number of people
