Perfect place to stay
Lovely, quiet, perfect place to stay while dropping my daughter off at Lewis and Clark College. Peggy is awesome and super helpful. The room is private and has everything you need for the perfect stay. Near Portland and great restaurants and great hikes (at Marshall Park and Tryon State Park) and the freeway. Comfortable bed; lovely, peaceful patio and back yard; clean bathroom. I will definitely stay again! Thank you!
It was so fun having you and your lovely daughter back, Anne! You are such wonderful guests. I hope to see a lot of you, now that she'll be here for college!
Great location, unit could use some TLC
Overall I was pleased with the experience. The hostess is wonderful and always available, and the location for a downtown commute was ideal. The cleanliness was dissapointing. The unit could use a deep clean, and I had an issue with spiders my first couple of days. Once I addressed it with the hostess it was taken care of and never saw another spider. It's a basement unit so it has that basement feel and climate. The unit is also around the back so if you have luggage it takes some work to get your luggage to the unit. Street parking only but it was safe. Overall, I enjoyed my week stay, but I probably would not stay again. To the hostess I give 5 stars, she was so sweet and offered tons of advice for eateries.
Your review surprised me and I'm so sorry to hear that you felt this way. I'm confused as to where the Sweet Suite would need "deep cleaning". I pride myself in the cleanliness of my properties and am used to getting 5 star reviews. I clean every inch of my units between bookings and go out of my way to make them comfortable, pleasingly to the eye, and to provide every amenity needed for a short stay. . I've never had spiders reported to me before, but I tried to address the situation in your room immediately. The Sweet Suite is not a basement room, it is a first floor ground level unit. I realize no one place is right for everybody, and you are certainly entitled to your opinion. I'm sorry that you experienced it this way.
A Sweet Suite To Snuggle Into
I stayed at the Sweet Suite for a long weekend as I was attending workshops at the World Forestry Center. It was a super convenient location, not very far off highway. Peggy was so helpful & very considerate about my need for quiet time & privacy, & she answered every question I posed. I loved that the room was filled with her original artwork! And I appreciated the coffee, cream, & bottled water provided for my stay. Even little chocolates on my pillow! And fresh flowers! Overall it was a positive experience that could have been even better if the space hadn't felt a tiny bit lacking in TLC. The Sweet Suite could use a deep cleaning, & the exterior would benefit from a little spiffing up, especially the entrance, deck, walkway to/from. Thank you for the hospitality!
Very beautiful and quite community.
Peggy is a great host and very friendly. We had everything we needed for our weekend in Portland. I would definitely rebook.
So glad you enjoyed your stay, I hope to see you again!
