The River Cabin is a lovely place to stay. We have furnished it with everything to make a vacation rental comfortable and entertaining. The landscaping is ideal for yard games, sunbathing, picnicking, campfires and it's beautifully nestled into it's own secluded location.
WATERFRONT WITH A DOCK - Wakeboarding and Skiing,
canoes, swimming, fishing and anything else to do with the water. Seven miles of Upper Salmon Falls Creek Reservoir for your pleasure. Blue Heart Springs is the 19th largest fresh-water spring in the world and is always an amazing place to visit. Bird-watching, photography, an artists dream of color and shape, so much make this a spectacular place.
This was a very nice two bedroom cabin. Great beds and pillows and wonderful view of the snake river. Getting up in the morning and having coffee on the dock you are treated to the best water foul show around.
Will be coming back. Great day trips from the location. Hots Springs, tour the fish farms, and not far from ice caves. Management was excellent to work with. Don and Susan give it 5 stars. Aug 12th to Aug 17th 2013
We were so pleased with this wonderful getaway from Boise. The house is right by the river and the waterfowl are everywhere on the river and fun to watch. Having the deck and canoe to use is a plus, and one could fish right off of the deck. The house is very clean and comfortable. It is well equipped in the kitchen and bathroom. We found the beds very comfortable and offered good support. The town of Hagerman is 5 minutes away and offers a grocery store and several good restaurants. We were pleasantly surprised when we drove up Bell Rapids Road right by our house to the Oregon Trail Visitors' sites. Very informative and historical and so close to the River Cabin. Driving on down US 30 you will see the Thousand Springs coming out of the cliffs above the Snake River. We did not do the hot springs but the locals say they are clean and fun. All in all we loved getting away from the city and having a quiet retreat. This is so easy and we will be sure to return.
Property was absolutely beautiful with amazing views of the Snake River full of waterfowl. Tony set us up with a cleaning station for our duck hunts as well. Inside had plenty of room, with great amenities. We played many of the games at night and had a blast. Wood was also provided for a nice fire right next to the river while enjoying a glass of wine. Thanks for your hospitality and we will be back!!
Central Valley, CA
We had a wonderful stay in Hagerman. Ducks and geese everywhere. They were obviously migrating through.
The home is really, really nice. Stocked with everything. Very comfortable. We enjoyed the BBQ grill.
The cabin is located in a great area. Oregon trail is just up the street. Actually this house may sit on a part of the trail. My Grandson was able to have a little history lesson while on vacation.
Really enjoyed our little visits from Olive the canine. She is polite and really nice. That was a real treat to see her when she had time!!
Your information book was really helpful. Thank you for that!!
Looking forward to our next visit at the cabin!
The river cabin was enjoyable, very comfortable and clean and most of all relaxing. There were apples and plums on the trees at the cabin and Tony was so kind and let us pick at will. The river was full of waterfowl and we even had a muskrat swim by. We explored all around the Magic Valley and is was very fascinating and fun. We learned many things about fossils, trout, sturgeons, cows, corn, aquaculture and agriculture. The most moving was walking on the Oregon Trail Ruts just up the road from the cabin in the Hagerman Fossil Beds. The weather was perfect but the last night there we were treated to a spectacular lightning show, we turned out the lights and watched from the living room as the lightning reflected from the sky and river. We also visited the local creamery, yummy ice cream in generous portions and cheese curds too. This place is definitely on our "go back too" list. Thank you Tony and Olive for sharing your cabin with us and our boxers dogs, till we meet again!
This was our second year staying at the river cabin, and it exceeds our expectations. The setting is spectacular, and everything we need is there. The bonus is that the hosts are super friendly and very accommodating. We look forward to coming back again!
We really enjoyed our cabin stay at The River Cabin. We did not expect to have
all the comforts of home. It was like staying with family. The river was
gorgeous and there was a surprising number of varied waterfowl on the
river ranging from a half dozen small duck species, to large cranes and
pelicans. It was amazing. The cabin was very comfortable and we did not
need to pack nearly as many camping accessories as we did. It was all there.
Hope to be back at the cabin next year. Thanks for such a nice weekend get a way!

Hagerman Valley was formed 40,000 to 50,000 years ago by two separate geological events.
1.The Bonneville Flood was a torrent of biblical proportion that cut through Utah, Idaho and Washington. Hagerman Valley was scoured by BILLIONS of gallons of water, hundreds of feet deep.
2. At the same time, The Great Rift Lava Flow released mile after mile of flowing lava that blanketed what is now South-Central Idaho. When the flowing lava encountered the high water of the Bonneville Flood, the vertical lava walls of Hagerman Valley were formed.
The lava flow also created the Snake River Basin Aquifer and the pure water originating from as far as Yellow Stone Park and the Teton Mountains of Wyoming, pours out of Hagerman Valley's lava walls into the Snake River. This is called Thousand Springs and these magnificant springs can be found up and down Hagerman Valley for 30 miles.
