Mixed review.
The house was mostly comfortable but needs some upkeep. The communication with the host was a challenge and they did not reply to most messages (even an acknowledgment of receipt would be okay). One of the showers we could not adjust the temperature, 2 of the showers had mold. One of the biggest challenges was trying to cook as the cookware is very worn and some of it unusable. It would be nice to have a few basic essentials such as salt and pepper and hand soap upon arrival to get things started. Location was good and there is a lovely coffee shop around the corner.

About the host

Hosted by Lee Fairless

Host profile image
Having worked within the hospitality industry for most of my working life and enjoying regular trips to the Northumberland Coast I decided it would be great to set up a holiday home to enjoy with my family and share with others. The Manor House came up for sale having been left to fall into a poor state so many months later we've refurbished everything from the roof down to the walls. We hope you enjoy it as much as we do.

Why they chose this property

Fenwick is perfectly positioned with the A1 main road easily accessible whilst also retaining a quiet peaceful charm. The Northumberland Coast is right on our doorstep with most attractions just a short drive away. We love spending time with family and friends too so a six bedroom property is perfect for sharing your experience with those closest to you.

What makes this property unique

Fenwick is ideally situated just off the A1 to explore the whole of the Northumberland Coastline. Right on your doorstep you will find the unique Holy Island of Lindisfarne accessible via causeway during safe crossing times. Slightly further afield you've Berwick upon Tweed, Bamburgh, Seahouses, Alnwick, Alnmouth, Warkworth and more.
