Spring break ski trip

  • 5 of 5

The condo has a convenient location. The ski lockers are very close, short walk to center village ski lifts and bus stop if you want to go to west village. Elevator across the hall from condo. We did not find hallway noise to be a problem. Condo has a crock pot which I found very useful. Dinner ready after day out on the slopes. The copper coach was great. Used this free service for transportation to the Copper Chapel for Sunday mass. All the staff at Copper Mountain are always kind and helpful!

This condo is in a great location! Easy access to everything on Copper Mountain. Easy, quick walk to the American Eagle lift. Loved the first floor location right by the elevator and door to the outside. The property manager, Josh, was great - very nice and helpful. We would stay here again.

Our Copper Mountain vacation rentals – also located in the town of Frisco – place your family in the middle of mountain adventures only found in Summit County, Colorado.

A Copper Mountain vacation enables families to experience year-round outdoor recreation. Top activities include world-class skiing and snowboarding, tubing, mountain biking, sailing, golfing at Copper Creek, the highest championship course in the U.S., and more.

The award-winning Copper Mountain ski area features more than 2,400 acres of terrain suitable for all ages and skill levels. Due to its size, it measures one of the largest ski and snowboard resorts in Colorado.

Copper Mountain is also known for its naturally divided terrain, which allows you to explore at your own pace. Beginners can schedule a class with Copper Ski and Ride School, while experts can test their skills at Woodward Copper, an action sports training facility. Those with younger children will have a blast at Critterland, an interactive play area for parents and tots to enjoy the snow together. In addition to skiing, your family can also spend the day tubing, ice skating, snowmobiling, sleighing and sledding.

Warm-weather months offer a different Copper Mountain vacation experience. Venture from your vacation rental and hike one of the many trails, or plan a zipline adventure and fly over the mountains. To see the area up-close, families can mountain bike on eight trails, ranging from 45 to 140 miles, with many connecting Copper and Frisco. Other popular Copper Mountain-Frisco activities include mini-golf, go-karts, rock climbing and simply admiring the area's natural beauty.

Our Frisco vacation rentals provide easy access to the Dillon Reservoir. The reservoir, also known as Lake Dillon, measures more than 3,000 acres, with 25 miles of scenic shoreline. Book a tour or rent a boat to experience scenic mountain views while sailing, kayaking, and stand-up paddleboarding. Lake Dillon is also home to ample fishing options, with catches including various types of trout and salmon.

In addition to water recreation, Frisco also offers top attractions such as the Frisco Bay Marina, Historic Park and Museum, and the Frisco Adventure Park. In the summer, visitors benefit from free bike, skate and disc-golf parks, as well as play fields and nature trails. Winter season months give guests access to tubing, sleigh rides and skiing at the Frisco Nordic Center.

When it's time to refuel, visit one of the restaurants in Copper and Frisco, both home to dozens of dining hot spots. Top restaurants include CB Grille, JJ's Rocky Mountain Tavern, Babe's Chicken Dinner House and Kenny's Burger Joint. Copper also offers a Dine-in-Delivery program nightly from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m., allowing guests to have their favorite dishes delivered right to their vacation rental.

If all this isn't reason enough to take a Copper Mountain vacation, the area also houses dozens of boutiques, fitness facilities and spa treatments at Copper Mountain Spa & Athletic Club, and annual festivals. Both Copper and Frisco host festivals throughout the year, providing families a fun way to meet locals and experience Colorado mountain culture. Signature Copper events include Sunsation, the end-of-ski-season party, and Copper County, which showcases country music's biggest stars. In Frisco, plan to attend the Colorado BBQ Challenge in June and Wasill Days during Christmas.
