In the best part of the wonderful city of Kavala, in the heart of the mystic old town with the huge past, a 1900's house, maintaining the glory, the style and architecture of the old days, is offered to our guests. Right across the famous Imaret hotel, with a breathtaking view of the whole Kavala Bay and port, granny Bethlehem's house can accommodate 2-8 travellers who look for the unique combination of perfect location, local architecture, great past, amazing view and spacious accommodation!
As you enter the first door you find yourself in a secret inside patio. There, another door leads you inside the building where you walk up two wooden staircases to the second floor of this traditional 1902 building. The house has 3 ensuite bedrooms, two with double beds and 1 with two single beds, under which there are two extra mattresses and enough space to put them. All three bathrooms have showers water heaters. There is also a big living room and a seperate dining room with antique furniture.
The kitchen is fully equipped with electric stove, microwave, dishwasher, washing machine, coffee maker,and blender
You will aslo find an electric barbecue and a barbecue grill at the kitchen balcony!
The house has two verandas on the front, overlooking the whole bay and city of Kavala and the port, with amazing sunsets. A third one is the kitchen's balcony.
The house offers free wifi internet, ceiling fans in all rooms and Air condition in the living and the dining room, strong enough to cool all bedrooms. As the house is stone built and because of its position when you open the windows you enjoy natural air conditioning of fresh air.
The History of the House in a few lines...
The home of granny Bethlehem was built in 1902 by a wealthy Turkish.
It was bought by Balasa after the Minor Asia disaster when they first came as refugees to Kavala. Later, it came to my grandmother Bethlehem's possession, who filled it with love and friends.
