Great Father & Son Fishing Trip

  • 4 of 5

I had been to the Glades Haven several times in the past with friends and had a blast, been wanting to take my son there for years but he never had any interest; now that he did I rented the Glades Haven Cozy cabin for us and of course wasn't disappointed, again we had a great time! Fishing was a bit off due to the cold front, but that's ok, father / son time was more important than anything. Overall the place was great, it's not the Hilton or even the Holiday Inn, it's a fishing cabin, if you're going in knowing that; then it's all good. I spoke with the owner before hand and he was awesome, no complaints there. Please be aware there is a lack of "Organization" there since the Hurricane and the Locals are not to patient with "visitors". The Marina right there no longer exists, so you have to find "Bob" he is running show, I guess he claimed the ramp after the marina closed. He's a nice guy, not too hard to deal with, but you must be fast in the ramp because he's collecting money from others who are using it. Other than that, it was a great time, will be going back in September! Say Hi to "Bob" for me!

For fishermen

  • 2 of 5

I guess we would have enjoyed the place if we would have been there to fish. The place is relatively clean and bed was confortable. This cabin is probably well appreciated by fishermen. There were many of them in the morning. There was little or no AT&T in the neighbourhood - possibly because of the last hurricane, but internet was available at the cabin.

Owner's Response: Hi Helene, We are glad to hear that the cabin was clean and comfortable during your stay! Many outdoorsmen do enjoy the property as it gives unfettered access to Everglades National Park. We do apologize for any inconvenience caused by the poor cell service, but weak reception is common in more remote areas and we unfortunately cannot make any guarantees for different service providers. Thank you for taking the time to leave a review, and we hope to travel with you again soon! Best, the Evolve Team

Perfect Place for Fishing

  • 5 of 5

Perfect cabin for fishing. We brought our boats and put in at the marina that was right on property. It was convenient and the cabin itself was perfect. It had everything we needed. We used the kitchenware and relaxed watching the tv after a long day on the boat. Would definitely book again
