About Dorinda and Dennis Delena
Dennis and Dorinda have retired after 30 years in the customer service industry. They live on the property in the caretaker's house. They are native New Yorkers transplanted to this tranquil and magical setting. They enjoy every aspect of life in Missoula. Having grown up in the Bronx and Westchester County in NY they are used to everything that NY City offers in the way of culture, shopping and lifestyle. They don't miss a thing except perhaps the white sandy beaches of long island. The magnificent rivers and many water ways satisfy their love of being near the water. Bird watching and communing with nature right at home on the lodge grounds provides a storybook retirement for them. Their family pets love the lifestyle as well. Luke and Leo are brothers from the same litter. They love to frolic in the creek and explore nature with Dennis and Dorinda. Gomez their 30 year old Macaw is lots of fun to be around. He is beautiful and dances for the guests. Gomez loves being outside on the deck and enjoys the surroundings. Lots of native birds and wildlife for him to enjoy. He loves the guests at the lodge and will greet you with a happy 'Hello'

Why Dorinda and Dennis Delena chose Missoula
Missoula is a magical place. The scenery is breathtaking. The town vibe is hip and modern while still giving you that old west feeling. On the way to the lodge you will see horses, cows, deer, wild turkey, large birds, mountains and more. Our family has loved the area and vacationed here on the property for over a decade.
What makes this Studio unique
There is nothing that can romance you more than a creek on your property. The water sounds, the attraction to wildlife, and general zen feeling on the grounds. The lawn and deck areas offer magnificent views. Tall pines surround you. It is just perfect!

welcoming and much prettier setting than pictures indicate
Dorinda and Dennis were welcoming and helpful. The Lodge is in a little green valley with a gorgeous creek and green spaces (and a great swing in a big old tree, which our kiddo loved). The photos are taken in winter, and they don't do it justice! It's on a dirt road, but it's only unpaved for a couple of miles before you arrive. Comfortable beds, clean, great towels. If I had to come up with something to offer suggestions about: clear directions about what to do with used dishes (there isn't a sink in the little kitchenette area) and herbal tea in the tea basket would be great :).
Thank you so much. We will be sure to include herbal teas in the welcome basket. We are working on getting A sink in there but in the meantime we will provide a dish hamper.
Love your comments and suggestions. Please come again.
Great location near airport and just outside Missoula
the surroundings and scenery were fabulous . The hosts were top notch. It was far superior to the average hotel/motel options in town. Very much like being in your own home at the end of a day of adventures in and around Missoula.
Thank you. We are your home away from home when you are in Missoula. Hope to see you again. You were perfect guests.
Wonderfully Relaxing Montana Getaway
I spent this past weekend at this lodge and it was the most relaxing time I've ever had. The scenery is gorgeous, the beds were SO COMFORTABLE, and the hosts were kind, pleasant, and helpful (something you don't always see). If you're looking for a place to get away from it all, rest, relax, and recharge then I HIGHLY recommend the Butler Creek Lodge. You will NOT be disappointed.
So glad you were relaxed and comfortable.
We hope you come back someday for more R&R!
