Nestled in the Nicolet National Forest, endless outdoor pursuits await your arrival. Maintained trails for hiking, biking, horse back riding, snowmobiles and ATV's.
Chute Pond is a full recreational lake with access from public boat landings as well as the cottage. Fish include Panfish, Largemouth Bass and Northern Pike. Water sports enjoyed on the lake include fishing, kayaking, canoeing, swimming (Slippery Rock), SUP, paddle boating, jet skiing.
The self-guided Lakewood Auto Tour is especially beautiful in the Fall, as the leaves change. Featuring 17 stops, including the Mountain Fire Lookout Tower, an entire day can be spent enjoying hiking and photo ops.
The McComb Nordic Ski Trail is nearby, as well as 4 other groomed trails a short drive away.
The Oconto County Forest as well as the Nicolet National Forest are known for their excellent hunting areas, with many acres dedicated for public use. Game licenses available in the Forest include Whitetail Deer, Bear, Turkey, and Small Game.
