Dieppe Bay House is a beautiful sea front villa set in an acre of tropical gardens in an off the beaten track location in the south of Antigua. Only five minutes drive to local shops and restaurants, the house has stunning views across Falmouth Harbour to the distant masts of the yacht clubs An acre of garden gives the villa lots of outdoors space and includes a gorgeous pool with sundeck, two gazebos, rustic beach BBQ area, sun terrace and lawn leading down to the sea.
A full refurbishment was carried out two years ago. This brings a much larger outdoor covered terrace overlooking the pool; a larger second bedroom suite; a new cinema room/study with sofa bed; and full redecoration throughout.
Three of the bedrooms have private terraces and two with four poster beds All bedrooms have ensuite bath/shower room and air conditioning. There is a newly built one bedroom guest cottage in the garden complete with walk in shower and double ended free standing bath. Monday to Friday maid service is included along with a gardener/pool service and on call property manager. The house is well suited for families and has Cable TV with DVD library, games, books and CD collection. Cooks/provisioning/baby sitting can all be arranged at additional cost.

Why Melanie St John chose Saint Paul
As a family we fell in love with the Caribbean back in 1999. After several happy holidays in Barbados, a friend recommended Antigua and we were hooked. We first saw Dieppe Bay House in 2003 - an unfinished new build sitting in a muddy garden with few plants and no pool. Despite all the downsides, we knew we could make it the home of our dreams and set to. The early years were tricky as we got to know which local builders to trust and what would work with the climate in the house and garden. Almost ten years on, we have a house and garden that we are very proud of and the perfect base for many happy holidays over the year. We would love to share it with you.
What makes this Villa unique
When we arrive from cold England - particularly in December, the first thing we do is head into the garden and onto the beach. The beautiful boats - from super yachts to small dinghies sailing by; the hungry pelicans dive bombing for their latest meal; the lap of the waves; the chatter of the fishermen; and occasionally the glimpse of a turtle. And then the next morning - dawn over Falmouth Harbour is stunning with the call of the barbary ducks in the background. Lastly the smell ... described by a journalist from The Times newspaper as 'the air smells like coconut; like moss; like wet brown sugar; like rum'

Stunning, perfect place.
Our party of 10 (6 adults and 4 teenage boys) couldn't have been more thrilled with our week at Dieppe Bay House, that is unless we had been there for longer. Everything is amazing as soon as you come in the gate (the road in is the only thing we were happy to leave behind.) The house is as spectacular in person as in the photos, and in some cases even better.
A dip in the pool to start the day, then find food in the well stocked kitchen (coffee maker, huge tea pot, blender all at the ready.) Then either sit in the porch area, back by the pool, play soccer/ frisbee in the grassy area or head to the almost private beach. It was hard to choose. The porch area was gorgeous. Enough seating for everyone and we never felt as if we were on top of one another. The screens that can be raised/lowered for rain/bugs worked brilliantly.
All bedrooms were great too. The master bedroom/ensuite is huge with its own amazing porch, which we always planned to use but never did as there were too many other places to be. Two twin rooms for the boys, complete with en suites. Another large queen room with ensuite, porch and view. And the large one room guest cottage in the garden, with en suite, and the sound of the surf to lull you to sleep. Even one room left over if your party is larger.
We loved the view and awaking each morning to find different ships anchored in the bay. There are binoculars at the villa for close up viewing. Housekeeper Pauline was there daily keeping everything spotless. We had a chef prepare an arrival meal for our first evening, as well as make us rum punch and help stock the fridge/bar fridge - a wonderful way to start the holiday.
We loved the area of English Harbour. Lots to see and do - Nelson's Dockyard, Shirley Heights, Half Moon Bay - and the restaurants were all good - Cloggy's, Catherines, Papas. The best grocery store we found nearby was Covent Garden near Nelson's Dockyard.
All in all an amazing week. We can't recommend Dieppe Bay highly enough. Enjoy.
Best Antigua Vacation
We just enjoyed our best family vacation in years. Dieppe Bay House is a beautiful home for a family vacation, plenty of room and well appointed. The location is private but close enough to get to plenty of great spots all over the island. We would highly recommend this house to anyone.
Simply amazing! Beautiful house, perfect location!
Simply amazing! Beautiful house, perfect location!
We stayed at Dieppe Bay House with 12 adults and a baby for nearly 2 weeks and had the best time! It totally made our holiday having this amazing oasis as a base.
The house is perfect for large groups as it's incredibly spacious with ample living space allowing everyone to enjoy each other’s company while not feeling on top of each other.
All the bedrooms are beautiful and the lounge / dining area is perfect for long lazy days with BBQs in the evenings.
We also loved hanging around the pool and in the hammock at the bottom of the garden. Bliss!
The villa is in a great location as it's only 15 minutes to English Harbour or 10 minutes to Pigeon Beach.
Melanie was a dream to liaise with, incredibly responsive and was happy to answer any questions!
Pauline was also amazing, always greeting you with a smile and super helpful.
None of us wanted to leave and I honestly cannot recommend this villa enough! The pictures don’t do it justice, we all had the holiday of a lifetime!
Gorgeous house and pool
Our family of 8 adults and 5 children spent a week at the Dieppe Bay house and had a wonderful time. We loved hanging out at the pool in the afternoon when we came back from the beach. The kitchen was well supplied with everything we needed and all the bedrooms were comfortable. There is plenty of room for a large group to spread out. Pauline, the housekeeper, was lovely and kept the house neat and clean. We would definitely recommend the house to any large group vacationing together.
A fantastic first visit to Antigua
Dieppe Bay House is ideally situated in a quiet area right on the waterfront. The house is extremely comfortable and the staff are delightful. It's location and comfort make it the ideal place for either a quiet, private holiday or a luxurious base for the more intrepid holiday maker - Nelson's Dockyard and English Harbour are a short drive away. I would love to go back and cannot recommend it highly enough.
We stayed at Dieppe Bay House as a group of 8 cricket supporters. We couldn't have picked a more suitable and tranquil property.
It made the ideal base to explore the island, watch the cricket and enjoy the hospitality of this beautiful island.
The property manager was there to greet us and take us through the amenities and we were superbly looked after during the week by Pauline who was so helpful.
The property was very accurately described, immaculately clean and had a welcoming mixture of holiday rental and family home.
The booking process was very easy and the owner answered all of our pre-visit questions.
We would recommend this property without hesitation and would certainly go back.
Five minutes drive from English Harbour with its stunning world class yachts and historic Nelson's Dockyard. This area is a wonderful combination of tranquil beaches and laid back bars and cafes. Shops and restaurants are five to ten minutes drive away with tennis and dinghy sailing available in the village and horse riding close by. The picturesque island of Antigua boasts 365 different beaches - most of which are within 30 minutes drive of Dieppe Bay House. Close by are Pigeon Beach and the beautiful and untouched Rendezvous Bay.
