Consisting of 2 double and 1 twin bedroom sleeping 6 in comfort, with a luxury bathroom. Downstairs consists of Lounge with freeview, DVD, video and games. The Coastal Path, stretching in both directions from Fishguard, is ideal for walkers, while beautiful beaches such as Newport Sands, Poppit Sands, Whitesands, Newgale and Broad Haven are short drives away. A leisurely stroll will take you to the picturesque fishing village of Fishguard Lower Town in one direction , or, in the other, a small beach at Goodwick. Fishguard itself has many amenities including the library and tourist information centre, a leisure centre (including swimming pool), food shops, galleries and craft shops, cafes, pubs and restaurants.

The historic city of St. David's and its cathedral are well worth a visit, as is Tenby, with its attractive harbour and beaches, or Pembroke, with its medieval castle. There are boat trips available to Ramsay Island, Caldey and Skomer and plenty of other local attractions for families such as Folly Farm, Oakwood Theme Park and Blue Lagoon Water Park.

The area is well known as a haven for rare birds, wild flowers and seals, all of which can be seen just a short walk from the property.

Cambrian House - a true gem.

  • 5 of 5

We have just spent the Easter weekend at Cambrian House. What a lovely place. It really is a 'home from home'. The house is superbly kitted out. The best part of it was the small lounge with the fireplace. We spent each night there listening to music, and my daughter's fiance playing his guitar, whilst we had our braai (bbq)

The bedrooms were very comfortable and very nicely decorated. Fabulous kitchen with everything in it. A very well equipped home.

The co-op saw us on more than one occasion as did the Chinese restaurant over the road and the pub next door.

There are many walks around and twice we walked down to the harbour. We also went to St. Davids and visited the Cathedral.

All in all Cambrian House is perfectly situated and equipped and I would highly recommend it to anyone wanting a relaxing time away.

The owner was very helpful in giving us plenty of information, good directions and went out of their way to make our stay pleasant. Even down to a lovely bottle of red wine waiting for us when we got there.

Thanks again Sian.

  • 5 of 5

a fabulous week in cambrian house. This property definitely had the wow factor for us. Very clean and modern but still has the old cottage feel and everything you need is there nothing is too much trouble for the owners who made us feel welcome in their home. The beds were very clean and comfortable, the bathroom luxurious and fab and the kitchen more than well equipped. our favourite place to relax was the sunroom where we could chat read or play games. a wonderful place and will definitely want to come again. we also took our two dogs who loved it so much. julie simon holly megan dean and charlie and sam from stoke on trent

From start of booking to after your stay owners keep you informed and are very helpful.

Found cottage to be clean and comfortable.

Enjoyed local horse riding and having a go at the pottery. Surf not bad either.

A comfy home to call your own...

  • 5 of 5

We came to Cambrian House on our first to Wales and though the weather may not have been the best, the accomodation made the trip a very pleasant one! On mornings when the rain kept us in we slept in and cooked pancakes in the superb kitchen. Coming back in the afternoon from long walks in the beautiful Gwaun Valley, or in Pantmaenog forest, we warmed ourselves by the wood fire... or in the luxurious bath. Our two dogs loved all the space they had, on the rug, in front of the fire, or in the courtyard.

The house is perfectly located for all manners of shops, cafes and restaurants in Fishguard. It is only a short walking distance from the beach of lower fishguard where dogs run free off-season, or to the Marine Trail, that follows the coast to Goodwick (45 mins roundtrip) and continues onwards as the national park trail.

Thank you Sian and Neil for sharing your home with us!

Dom & Gavin.

Lovely Place

  • 4 of 5

I recently stayed at Cambrian House with my family. Fishguard itself is a lovely little village and a good base for exploring the rest of Pembrokeshire. Cambrian House is comfortable and has all the amenities you need for a good holiday. The living area is comfortable and the kitchen is modern and well set out. The bedrooms are spacious and also comfortable and the bathroom is also modern and spacious. We enjoyed our stay the only downside was the noise from the pub next door. Unfortunately, it was noisy late at night but you could only hear it if you slept in the bedroom nearest the pub, which was fine for me because I wear hear plugs but my husband decided to migrate to the middle bedroom so he could get some sleep. There was also a lot of noise on the street towards the end of the week with people shouting and cars that seemed to racing up and down as late as 3.00am in the morning. The most noise came from the barrels when they decided to move them about at midnight. Unfortunately, this would put me off staying here again purely because of the late night noise not because of the cottage itself, which really is lovely.

Owner's Response: We are so sorry to hear that part of this holiday was compromised by noise. The changing barrels we can and will do something about-as the publican is very amenable like that! Unfortunately we can't do anything about the noise in the street, apart from saying we ourselves stay frequently in Cambrian House and it hasn't disturbed us, so hopefully this was a rare occurance and unlikely to happen again in the future.
