This was the perfect location as it was right down the street from my family, close to the beaches, shops, and restaurants. House was very clean and had everything that you would need. Richard and Janina were the perfect hosts and I would definitely stay here again.
Family vacation with 5 people for 11 days
My family and I stayed here for 11 days and it was amazing! The home met all of our needs and the owners were wonderful. They greeted us when we arrived and showed us around. The house had everything you could need for a home away from home. I would definitely recommend this place to my friends and would stay here again. It was our first time using a vacation rental and it couldn’t have worked out better!
Great place for a family
We stayed here with 5 people including a toddler. The hosts were very welcoming and checked in with us each day to make sure we had everything we needed. They also had great suggestions for fun things to do with a toddler. The house was very clean and had everything we needed for our stay. We had a wonderful time and would stay here again!
We loved staying at this clean, welcoming and homey place. Richard is a great communicator from the very beginning and followed up with us when we arrived. We would highly recommend staying here and will do so again next time we come.
Clean, easy, comfotable, very helpful owners...
Great place to stay in Kailua. Richard was very helpful. Very clean and simple.
Very nice stay
The owners might be the nicest, most caring people ever- hard to find genuine people but they go above and beyond. The space was great and anything we needed they went out of their way to provide. We enjoyed the stores that were within walking distance, easy bus access and easy parking and a short drive to the beaches or town. Our toddler was delighted by the toys that they shared with her. Only minus was that homes in hawaii are not very solid so there was minimal soundproofing- at night everyone had to go to bed early (bc of the kid) and when there was noise outside it was loud. But typically a quiet neighborhood and the overall stay was wonderful.
Turquoise water and fine white sand have made Kailua Beach a favorite of locals and visitors alike. Add a dash of city chic, and you have Kailua Town. Located on Oahu’s Windward Coast, the main part of Kailua Town consists of a few blocks of trendy boutiques, popular restaurants and kamaaina (resident) hangouts, like the Thursday evening farmers’ markets.
Start the morning with pancakes smothered with irresistible macadamia nut sauce at Boots and Kimo’s Homestyle Kitchen or “to die for” crepes at Crepes No Ka Oi. If you’re already at the beach, stroll to Kalapawai Market for coffee and lunch. After a day of body boarding, rehydrate with a refreshing smoothie at Lanikai Juice or cool off like the President with shaved ice from Island Snow. And if you’re in the mood for dressing up—in Kailua terms that means something more than a beach cover-up—Formaggio Grill boasts over 50 wines by the glass.
Although Kailua isn’t large, its selection of unique boutiques draws shoppers from around the island. Olive Boutique and Global Village capture Kailua’s sunny lifestyle, while Island Treasures features a large selection of Hawaii artists.
Of course the biggest draw to this buzzing community is Kailua Beach, with its crystal blue waters and white sand. For a view of Kailua that’ll make all your friends jealous, grab a water bottle and your camera and take the 1-hour Lanikai Pillbox hike. It doesn’t get better than this.
