Needs a deep cleaning
The pictures make the unit look much cleaner than the unit actually was upon arrival. The carpet could use a cleaning baseboards and cabinets wiped down, and a fresh coat of paint.
Emily: I am disappointed that the initial welcome was not as you - or we - would have liked. I have forwarded your comment to our rental manager to discuss with her staff. I certainly hope the rest of your vacation was fun.
On your own!
The property seemed nice at first. The door would not unlock with our key. Management told us to keep jiggling the handle while we turned the key. It finally worked after 15 minutes. Opened the door to find a note from the previous occupant stating the door was sticking and that it was reported the week or weeks prior. Thursday of our trip, the master toilet overflowed. It would not unclog and I turned the water line off and again called management to report the problem. They said they would send someone right over. FOUR hours later the maintenance man showed up. He was told he would be fixing a tub and that he had to leave again to get a snake for the toilet. I told him we were going to the beach and he said he would lock up. We returned several hours later to find that the toilet was fixed but the mess was left in the floor!!!! All of our towels were soiled with toilet water and fecal matter! Called management again, the said someone would bring new towels and we could find a mop in one of the closets. We found the mop, along with another note from the people before us. This one said the toilet has a clog and not to use it. They said they had reported it, also! The rear sliding door wouldn't lock either. Very disappointed in the rental and the management team. Everyone was very courteous, just didn't follow through with the service we've become accustomed to at all of our previous rentals.
Lovely place to stay for a family!
Overall this condo is wonderful - it's HUGE inside, perfect for our family of four. It has the most spacious double-balcony we've ever had and we've been going to the gulf for 10 years. The only negative we have is that it is located in a pretty busy area. We are used to staying on the west end of Gulf Shores and in Perdido Key, which are much lower density. We prefer that. Even in mid-October, there were more people on the beach than we would have liked. If I could pick this up and move it to a less populated area, this would certainly become our go-to condo each year -- and it still may become that, regardless. The décor does need an update, but I'm sure that would raise the price. and for us, we're there for the beautiful scenery so it wasn't a big deal. I can't say enough good things about this condo AND the Brett-Robinson team. Our condo in Perdido Key flooded (not through B/R) and they were able to move us into this unit the next night. It worked out beautifully and was a definite upgrade! We'll be back!
Very nice and clean!
Our family came down to celebrate my sister-in-law and her daughter's birthday. There were four in her family and the two of us. We were all comfortable with the space and some enjoyed the indoor pool and hot tub, while the rest of us preferred the outdoor pool and the beach. Nice to have options! A few maintenance issues, that we reported, however, none of which inferred with our enjoyment of the unit. I would recommend it to others!! Thanks for the wonderful time.
Thank you so much for this wonderful review. We appreciate being a part of this celebration and happy that there was something for everyone to enjoy. Please tell your friends and come back and see us soon.
Great condo on the beach
Had a great time. Would love to stay here again!
