Spacious fully equipped beach front home on Historic and quaint Amelia Island. Ideally situated in a quiet neighborhood. We own the 300' of beach directly in front of the house. The Atlantic Ocean is your front yard, Fort Clinch State park is your back yard. Beautiful sun rises and sun sets. Five minutes to historic downtown Fernandina Beach. There are hiking and biking trails throughout the island and on the Talbot Islands just south of Amelia Island.
All bedrooms have walkouts to the decks, the master is on the ocean side.
Park your cars and boat under the house, take your boat to the free public boat launches. The fishing is famous, we have rivers, the inter-coastal, and you can charter a boat to fish the Atlantic Ocean or surf cast on our beach.
Enjoy the beach and rinse off the sand in the outdoor shower.

We are 'retired' residents of Amelia Island and own and operate a small construction business as well as manage our 3 vacation rental properties. We came to Amelia Island as permanent residents in 2003 from the Northeast and made this peaceful island paradise our home.

We purchased this property in 1997 as a weekend get away. We found that Amelia Island was easier for us to get to than braving the traffic to get to the New England beaches. We chose this property because it is located in the quiet north end neighborhood and has 300 feet of direct ocean front as well as Fort Clinch behind us. This end of the island is all residential, there are no hotels, condos, public beaches and very little traffic. Most of the properties are single family homes or duplexes. Our beach is beautiful white sand and is never crowded. We take long walks to the fishing pier. Our dogs love to run at the end of a long leash, dig holes in pursuit of whatever creatures and dive in the waves. This beach is also a great spot to swim, as it is not prone to rip currents and has a gradual slope to deeper water. Low tide is a great time to hunt for shark teeth or collect shells. It really doesn't get any better than this.
This a stilt house which gives us great views and a protected place to park cars and boats. We do welcome pets. We have 2 dogs of our own. That is Mister Buster in the picture and he has a twin Cairn Terrier, Mister Bronson who looks just like Toto. The main living area of this house is tile, the decks have a child/pet gate at the top of the stairs. This area of the beach always has a breeze so you can sit on either deck depending on your preferred view.
First visit to Amelia Island. Home was as expected. Ample room for our family of 5. Quiet street with friendly neighbor. The evening deers were an added bonus.
I highly recommend this house. I felt like I was at home. There is everything that you could possibly need in the house and it was very clean. We had a perfect vacation. I couldn't believe all the deer at night.
Great location in quieter section of the beach near Fort Clinch, very dog friendly area from beach to eateries. The nightly crossing of the deer from the park to the beach was entertaining (the dogs got excited, though). The house is well kept and the inclusion of linens & towels was welcomed. We spent a month & would go back.
Nicely equipped. VERY comfortable beds, furniture. TVs everywhere -- but why? The view toward ocean from the front deck is much better than anything on TV. Easy to get to the beach! Beautiful sands, challenging waves! No crowds!

The only complaint I have is that I did not rent the place longer. The place had a great view of the ocean-continuous breeze while sitting on front deck, and very comfortable beds. The access to a from the beach was easy -even at night.
My two standard poodles loved the walks on the beach and just sitting on the front deck. Oh, and we saw deer daily!!
I cannot wait to go back -just staying longer this time!!
Checking in was super easy, and the house was clean and stocked with pretty much everyone we needed for a short week at the beach except groceries. It is a very short walk across the road to the beach. Since the house is on the north end of the island there were hardly any other people on the beach, and there is a cool herd of beach deer that appear in the evening. You will have to drive for dining out, but not very far and that is an excellent trade-off for the more isolated beach.
Our cottage is located in the Northern residential section of the Island where the beaches are private, there are no condos or commercial sites. The road is a dead end so the traffic is local and light. The cottage faces the ocean with unobstructed views and to the west is Fort Clinch State Park. We have full length decks both back and front. All three bedrooms have patio door access to the decks. Beach driving at various locations, shark tooth hunting, skate park, Historic Fort Clinch, sunset cruise, fishing, golf, all 2 miles or closer. Historic and quaint downtown has wonderful restaurants and shopping. Watch the sunset from Brett's patio. Dine at some of the best restaurants in Florida. Charter a fishing boat, take a ride to Cumberland Island for a stroll and dinner. Enjoy the new bike trails on Amelia and Big Talbot Islands.
