6 Bedrooms, 4 Bathrooms, Rooftop Deck, and a Block from Green Lake
About Rob Ahrens
I first moved to Seattle from Michigan in 1993, and my wife, Nadia, moved out from NYC in 2006. We have lived in several of Seattle's neighborhoods, and chose the north-end of Seattle as our favorite area, and the place where we wanted to raise our family. In addition to the two of us, we have twin 9 year-old daughters (Mia & Zoe), a Golden Retriever (Django), two orange cats (Mango & Elmo), and a Bearded Dragon (Draco). Nadia and I have both traveled extensively (as backpackers and on business), and between us we have visited over 50 countries and 6 continents. All of this travel has allowed us to stay in hundreds of hotels, pensions, B&B's, homestays, and hostels, and we borrowed their best ideas for our own vacation rental properties.

Why Rob Ahrens chose Green Lake
Our house is the perfect set-up for larger groups. It is split up into 4 self-contained private guest suites, allowing your guests to both be together, and to have some privacy. We have hosted multiple wedding & corporate groups, plus lots of mini family reunions & friendly get-togethers. We are new to HomeAway in 2018, but have maintained a 4.9 Star rating on Airbnb since we started in 2017.
What makes this House unique
We are located in a beautiful neighborhood, just a short block away from Green Lake, which is one of Seattle's most popular parks. It includes a 2.9 mile loop around the lake that is popular with walker, runners, and bikers. The rest of neighborhood is very vibrant and walkable as well, with multiple restaurants, cafes, pubs, and shops within a 5-15 minute walk.

Great space in amazing location!
Rob's house was exactly what my group was looking for. Plenty of space for us, great location, and super neat and clean. Rob was also very communicative and available. I would encourage anyone large group looking for a conveniently located, large space in Seattle to check this out!
12 guests stayed 3 days
Good rental for large group though gathering area is not large and if group wants to cook, pans and other equipment are lacking. Good, seems safe location. House clean and bedrooms well-appointed and up-to-date. Adequate communication with owner.
Great location for family reunion
Beautiful, comfortable home- large group stayed for reunion location couldn’t have been better. All the beds were super comfortable, nice linens, loved the rooftop deck- we’ll definitely be back!
Great house for extended family
The house is fantastic and individual suites can be rented. But it also is good for a large family stay. Great location a block from Green Lake and 5 minutes to the zoo. Wonderful roof top with a great view and a table and chairs. Each suite has its own coffee and dishes.
I highly recommend it
Great location, beautiful home!
Amazing Location and Great Size!
Rob's place was fantastic! It was clean, spacious, and easy to navigate in terms of checking in and out. We had three generations with several adults and children when we rented the entire house for family Holiday get-together. The guest house was the perfect size and layout so each group had privacy and resources over three floors. Its location was walkable to many restaurants, parks and an outstanding zoo, and a short drive or bus ride to downtown. Rob was promptly responsive to all our questions and requests including providing a pack ‘n play for our son.
Seattle is among the most active cities in the U.S. and Green Lake is Seattle’s hub for recreation. Circling the lake is a 2.8 mile walking/running/wheels trail. The park also offers tennis and basketball courts, hiking trails, baseball and soccer fields, 9-iron golf course, public swimming pool and beaches, boat/kayak/paddle board rentals, and a theatre. The trail is also a great place for people watching and the best way to access many restaurants and shops lining the lake.
Just around the corner from beautiful Green Lake Park, a 10-minute drive to Downtown Seattle, Fremont, Ballard, and the University of Washington, and right next to city bus stops.
There is a lot to do within walking distance: Six blocks to restaurants along the lake and a natural organic foods market, and less than a mile to the other nice Tangletown, Roosevelt, & Wallingford neighborhood centers.
