This beautiful and relaxing apartment is the perfect getaway for your vacation in Nashville
like a dorm where weed is legal and pets are allowed
The property is well located on the west end and convenient to Vanderbilt. The name of the corporation managing the unit, Dormigo, is appropriate as this is basically a college dorm. Most evenings, the first floor reeked of pot. I took my kids to the gameroom on the first night, which is nice enough. Myself and my 10 and 12 year old then watched an employee of the building have a 10 minute yelling argument with one of the residents about whether the resident could take a string of christmas lights out of the game room. The resident ended the argument by simply leaving with the lights over the yelled objections of the employee.
That night, my neighbor in 227 could be seen and heard drunkenly running up and down the hallway with no shirt on after midnight. He capped off the night with some country music karaoke from what must be a very powerful stereo system. In the morning, all of the exit signs in the hall had been smashed to pieces. I don't know if those two things are related. Dormigo closes at 10 and they leave you no contact information for the building, so you really can't do anything about any problems you have after 10 pm. I assume that I should just call the cops? In response to my e-mails I sent as all this was going on, dormigo responded the next day by writing "We're sorry to hear about this. In situations such as this, you can call us and we can inform the courtesy officer on duty." But again, they close at 10 pm, so not sure how to address these issues.
The unit is fine, but the building is fairly dirty; like no one has ever vacuumed the carpet in the hall. In addition to the weed smell, the building just smells a little funky, like wet dog. The building is apparently in the flight path of the local life flight helicopter. One night it came and went three times, which was very loud but kind of neat to watch (as you can see it land from the unit), at least the first time.
The internet went out intermittently while I was here, but not so much as to be a major issue.
I had booked the unit on back to back weeks. After the first week, I didn't want to stay here again, but they would not refund any of my money at all, so I am writing the review from the couch of the unit.
Worth nothing they don't change the door code between stays, so always bolt the door as every prior guest might have the code. When I arrived today, the door wasn't locked at all.
Excited to see how this week goes! THANKS DORMIGO!
loud & somewhat dirty
Building not very clean; as if no one has ever vacuumed the hallways. Building staff not friendly. Very loud. When I call to complain about noise, Domingo is closed. Various nights I was here the entire first floor reeked of pot. First night here someone vandalized all of the exit signs on my floor. It was probably the people in 227, who could be heard and seen drunkenly running up and down the hall with no shirt on after midnight.
I have a second week booked here and your company wouldn't let me cancel because it wasn't within the 14 day window. I am in the unit now, which was unlocked when I got here. One of the pool wrist bands was missing when I arrived, so please don't charge me the $500 fine for that.
The listing said it accommodated 6 however there were only 4 seats in the living room. No table to eat at and the couch was less then nice.
The clean towels all smelled like cigarette smoke and there was no where to put the foam to sleep on the floor besides the dining area.
I stay in a lot of Airbnb rentals and this was not high on my list.
could be impoved
First of all, we had 2 vehicles. There was a street right behind the building where we parked eventually, but had to call and luckily the nice person on the phone from Dormigo told me to park there. The instructions we were given, directed us to a bunch of paid parking lots nearby.
The other problems relate more to the property. The building was really dirty, Looked like there had not been any vacuuming done ever for the extensive carpeted hallways on every floor.
I went to the office in the front to ask about a lost and found, and the women in the office were very rude and short with me, and I mentioned the dirty hallways, and she totally ignored me. I told her I was just telling her to bring it to her attention. she was very rude.
The dog park on the roof was awesome!
The pool was freezing. Cant it be heated?? I would stay again if the pool was heated!
My husband and I stayed with our one year old and we really enjoyed it. The only complaint would be the street noise from one of the bedrooms. The unit was very clean and the location was close to a lot of great restaurants. I would definitely recommend staying here.
Briana, thank you for your feedback; we appreciate the information provided in regards to your stay. You were a pleasure to host! We want to apologize for the street noise. We are happy that you otherwise enjoyed your stay, as we do our best to provide a comfortable, welcome unit for our guests.
We would love to host you again to provide a 5 star stay and hope you would consider staying at one of our Dormigo properties. Thank you.
Very easy to work with and clean
