Spacious + Excellent location
Very nice and spacious for our family of five. The surrounding area is charming with lots of restaurants and shops. The property owners were very helpful and had quick response times. I recommend this property!
Love this neighborhood and the apartment was adequate. Second shower was basically not usable (leaking shower and door wouldn’t close) which made it pretty difficult with three couples. It should be noted that both bathrooms are inside other bedrooms too, so it might be better for a family or two couples. Still had a nice dining space and loved to watch the cafes and bustle on the street below.
Great apartment in a good location.
This was a great apartment that has been well maintained in a lively part of the Trastevere neighborhood. This apartment is ideal for a family of four with extra room for guests. We would rent it again.
Worst vacation apartment we have ever stayed at.
Pros: Apartment is quite spacious, and the location is not bad.
Cons: Everything else. Where do I start?
Bugs, bugs and more bugs. When we first checked in, we immediately discovered ants in the kitchen, and we notified the property manager. He said he would send someone to spray the area. However, even after the area was sprayed, more insects, larger and more exotic ones, appeared during our stay. In the lobby downstairs, the trash bin was seldom emptied, and there was a colony of hundreds of ants crawling about. It was gross.
The apartment is advertised as having air conditioning. Unfortunately, only two of the a/c units worked. The others units just blow warm air, which is unacceptable when the outside temp is over 35c in August. One of the a/c units also smelled of mold and mildew. The manager was notified, but he said nothing could be done to fix this during our stay.
Only one bathroom had hot water. The boiler in the main bathroom is defective and shuts off every few seconds. I notified the manager, who told me it is broken and needs to be replaced, but they cannot fix it yet because they’ve already rented out the unit for the next while, and they want to wait until all the paying guests have left before they replace it. Well, that is not acceptable. Having running hot water is a basic necessity. What’s the point of renting a 3 bed/2 bath apartment if everyone needs to squeeze into one room to have air conditioning and to take showers? We might as well have rented a single hotel room.
The apartment is advertised as having internet. We rented the apartment for 12 days, and the internet stopped working a few days into our visit. We notified the manager, but the issue was not fixed until the day before we left. So we had no internet for most of our stay.
One of the bedroom windows did not work properly, and flew open one night when it was windy. We were not home at the time, and many mosquitoes came inside the apartment. Even after discovering the issue, we were unable to close the window because the mechanism was defective and would not stay shut. The manager eventually fixed the latch, but not before we were bit many times by the mosquitoes. It was very unpleasant.
I took many photos, but unfortunately this site does not allow me to post them.
This was the worst vacation apartment we've ever stayed at. It was anything but “charming”. Just stay away.
I have never had any problems or negative reviews on this property, so I was quite astonished when the guest posted this one with so many complaints. While there were minor difficulties during this guests stay, the angry tone and exaggeration of his comments in this review left me quite surprised. There minor problems, contrary to what has been written, were resolved timely and some things he mentioned were never brought to our attention. The guest called us for ants in the kitchen and someone was immediately sent to resolve this. We found a small number of ants, not a colony as he appears to say and he never mentioned seeing any other insects or bugs in the house, nor did any previous guest. The air conditioning was checked and was working perfectly in all rooms at all times and there was no evidence to anyone else of any strange smell. The second bathroom hot water heat was "broken" as the guest put it, he simply had to press a button prior to useing it, so the guest was was never without hot water. This water heater was subsequently replaced but was working during their stay, provided you pressed the button which was shown to him at the check in. This may have been an inconvenience, but certainly was exaggerated in the comments. The internet line was down for 2 days over the weekend and this was due to the phone company performing works in the area-something we had no control over. It was not out of order for the majority of his stay and the Guest also had a portable Wi-Fi router which worked independently of the house, so he was effectively never without internet. The guest says he was unable to close one of the windows, however, when we came by we were able to close it with no problem by turning the handle in the correct direction, which seemed to be a chore for the guest.
I concur with the guest that it is unfortunate that you cannot post photos on the site, because they certainly would show that the flat did not have the defects mentioned in the review. We also took photos of the ants and there were so few it was hard to see them. Again, this guest did have three minor issues and I would never try to deny those but there were resolved swiftly and have been greatly exaggerated here.
Great spacious apartment in charming neighborhood
3 bedroom, large and bright living room. very comfortable for our family. Bathrooms are big enough, needing a bit of repair but overall great experience
Samuel was so helpful, response and easy to work with. Even brought over hair dryer for me
Would stay here again
This apartment is in a great central location. We walked less than a block to two restaurants. One evening, we dropped the teenagers at home and walked across the street to a Taverna. We would definitely stay there again!
