Hesitant to reveal the Seagrove secret.
Seagrove is the quieter place on 30a between Seaside and Rosemary Beach. It's gotten busier of course in the 15 years I've been going there. I've stayed at Sugar Dunes 3 other times. #17 Top Shelf has the best sunset views available in this complex. No issues with anything during stay. No beach congestion like the larger complexes. You do have 3 flights of stairs off the balcony to the beach access. I was well aware of this. Bottom line, beautiful beach, condo, sunsets with this location. Plus with has great weather.
You have said it all! Sugar Dunes is never over-crowded. It is a quiet, family oriented complex away from the hustle and bustle of other 30A areas. All of our west end units provide outstanding sunset and panoramic views. We appreciate you staying with Myer Properties and hope you will visit again for your next beach vacation!
Great place Great location.
My family and I had a great stay here! Not crowded. I would highly recommend this unit to anyone.
We are so glad you enjoyed your stay at Top Shelf and appreciate your great review and comments. This is a very popular unit at Sugar Dunes as it sits on the top floor of the west end of the building offering amazing views and relaxing a beach breeze. Each private balcony offers access directly to the sand. This quiet, 24 unit complex is conveniently located just 4 miles from Seaside and only 2.2 miles from The Hub with several restaurants in between. We enjoyed having you and hope you will keep us in mind for your next beach vacation!
The view of the ocean and beach here can't be beat. You are on the top floor with steps out to the beach ... or you can always go around the building to the elevator, but we always made the trek up the steps at the end of our day ... really not bad at all and so worth it to have that beautiful view! The pelicans flying up and down the beach throughout the day were eye level from our balcony ... and we never missed one evening out on the balcony to take in the gorgeous sunsets! We also had the full moon during our stay ... to see the waves on the ocean glisten and glow at night under the moonlight was AMAZING! This place was immaculate and so beautifully decorated. The kitchen was well supplied ... almost any herb and spice you would need ... there was even a supply of coffee filters, something we usually have to go out and buy once we're there. (There is a Publix nearby that has everything you need ... and super friendly staff ... we had their steamed shrimp and brought them home several nights for dinner during our stay). This unit has lots of seating for meals (we actually used the kitchen bar for most meals as we had a 1000 piece puzzle taking up the glass dining room table all week) ... super convenient to have the extra seating! Bathrooms were all great ... the master suite bathroom was amazing ... the other two bathrooms were perfectly lovely ... the only thing we thought would have been nice to have in the other two bathrooms? ... perhaps a small shelf on the wall to keep toiletries at hand. The view of the gulf here, even from inside, is awesome ... the beautiful turquoise water ... white sand ... and the floor to ceiling windows make you feel you are on the beach even when inside! All in all this was the perfect place for us, our children, and two small grandchildren! Truly unforgettable! We will definitely try to stay here on a return visit!
What amazing comments! Thank you for staying with Myer Properties and for taking the time to leave such a wonderful review! We enjoyed having you and look forward to hearing from you again!
Small family vacation
Had an amazing stay at this condo! Everything was clean and neat. The updated walk in shower in the master bedroom was amazing. This was a beach front condo with stairs leading to the sandy beach! The kitchen was well supplied with spices and equipment for all your cooking needs. The owners were very quick to respond and easy to communicate with! I would love to come back!
Lives up to the name!
My husband and I booked Top Shelf to celebrate my 50th birthday. The moment we walked in to "that view" and saw the nicely decorated rooms, I knew we picked the perfect spot! The condo is down a secluded street and is on the top floor (no heavy footfalls from above), so it's nice and quiet. The condo has a private garage right next to the elevator, which is a nice plus. I'm a little weird in that I love to cook while on vacation. I was worried I wouldn't have everything I needed to whip up my meals, but I was delighted to find that they have everything - and I do mean everything - on site from pans, gadgets, sharp cutting knives and even a ton of spices in the kitchen. We slept in the main bedroom and a friend took the middle room and both beds were comfortable. It was a nice that you could open the door in the main bedroom and hear the waves lapping on the beach. In the morning, you could see the pink from the sunrise, but the best part was the sunsets. Wow - they were so vibrant! The living room was comfy too - lots of furniture for all to sit together and a giant TV and DVD player (each bedroom had them too). When we had a problem with getting the DVD player to come on, the owners had the maintenance man there in minutes. But, the best part was the beach. Just walk down your stairs and you're on the most gorgeous powder sugar sand ever. And, the colors of the water! Simply stunning. My only caution is if you have problems navigating beach chairs down 4 flights of stairs, this may be a challenge for you. I'd suggest renting beach chairs from the service offering it all along the beach. You could take the elevator, but you'd have a ways to walk around from there as there's no first floor cut through from the front to the back. I can't recommend this more highly to anyone and I would go back in a heartbeat.
Thank you, Lisa. We are so glad "Top Shelf" exceeded all of your expectations. It is nice being on the top floor, especially in a unit with floor to ceiling windows that offers the most gorgeous views of the gulf, beach and beautiful sunsets. The owner has thought of everything when it comes to the kitchen. And, Sugar Dunes is perfectly located right on the sand with direct access from your balcony.
We would love to hear from you and help you plan your next beach vacation!
Wonderful views of Sunsets & Moonsets!
Our anniversary's couldn't have been spent in a better location. The place was very nice, with a huge master bath&bedrm, a 2nd bathrm with a bench in shower...perfect for our daughter and son in laws King size bedrm. The surprise was the 3rd bedrm that the 10month old grandson slept in. There was a high chair and pack & play in the closet, you don't need to pack those items(we also rented a crib for the week). The kitchen was well stocked and large enough for us all to be in at one time, and open the blinds in dining room , for a unobstructed view of Gulf. The balcony had enough tables chairs for 8 people, and we ate breakfast everyday out there. The direct stairs to the beach was the coolest idea we had seen for properties on the beach. Although there are no tents allowed directly in front/on the beach , there is a Property entrance on side where we set up our tents daily. The sunsets were Perfect, and nobody but I had ever seen a Moonset on the ocean, 2 nights in a row the Cresant moon set orange to the west of us. As pretty as the sun setting. The only negatives we can think of is the one and only tiny Publix nearby. Matthew and fall breaks overlapped our week and the shelves were bear on Sat night at Publix. We drove to PCB and there was plenty of stores there ( big Publix/WinnDixie/FreshMarket/etc). Seaside is nearby and has the best food at a place named Great Southern Kitchen, well worth the almost 45 min drive to go 3 miles for. There are food trucks and lots of shops restaurants there. My Daughter and We loved this place and cannot wait to go back soon. Thank you for the beautiful TopShelf, and the most unforgetable 1st beach experience for our grandson. Truly wonderful week.
Wow! It certainly seems as if you soaked every wonderful thing about this condo and the location. Though we were very fortunate not to have been affected by Hurricane Matthew, I'm sure everyone did stock up just in case. But, so glad you found the other stores nearby. Great Southern Cafe is one of my absolute favorites as well. I just love the outdoor area. Please call us again soon. We look forward to having you.
The beach is right out the window and down the steps from the balcony. There are many other activities like biking along the Timpoochee Trail, visiting area lakes, shopping and all the resturants along Highway 30A, It the best place to be with quiet surroundings and private BEACH!
