About Marlene Rogers

Our family loves to ski and snow board. It is the only sport mom can do with her sons! We have great quality family time on our ski trips. We have always wanted a place in the mountains to enjoy with our family.

Marlene Rogers purchased this house in 2013

Why Marlene Rogers chose Breckenridge Area

We looked at properties that were ski-in and ski-out but decided the most beautiful area was slightly south of Breckenridge. The trees and mountain vistas are off-the-charts beautiful. This was the first house our realtor showed us and none could compare afterwards.

What makes this house unique

Only 9 miles from Breckenridge Skiing and fabulous restaurants! Also, very close to Vail/ Beaver Creek, Copper Mountain, Keystone. The moose graze right next to the house. There are numerous hiking trails with mountain lakes and waterfalls in close proximity. There is a nearby 14'er to climb with mountain goats galore. A 14'er is a mountain higher than 14 thousand feet. There are 56 14'ers in Colorado. There are also many local road bike trails.

Guestbook comments from the owner

We had such an amazing time here at the chalet. We were greeted on our first day by a moose in the backyard! Seeing the moose was the perfect way to start our Colorado vacation. We do not see those in Ohio. Although we stayed busy for most of our trip we did find time to curl up and have family movie night. The chalet is so cozy and comfortable it made our entire stay and movie night perfect!

Amazing stay!

  • 5 of 5

I stayed at this beautiful chalet with 5 of my girlfriends for the weekend and we had a truly amazing stay. Over and over my friends and I talked about how lovely the decor in the chalet was. The entire home was very clean and the kitchen and the bathroom on the main floor were especially beautiful. The location was wonderful, very close to the main shopping area in Breckenridge and close to lots of trails as well. We completed a portion of the Quandary Peak trail and saw at least a dozen adorable mountain goats! Marlene was so responsive and friendly, I couldn't have asked for a kinder individual to interact with. The only drawbacks of this rental is that the top bunk bed is really difficult to get into and could use a ladder and also the downstairs bathroom would benefit from a curtain separating it from the adjoining bedroom. I would absolutely book the chalet again- the pictures do not do justice to how lovely it is!

House is beautiful, views are amazing! I can't say enough about how cozy and inviting it was walking through the door😀 We only had 3 people but there is plenty of room for larger groups and families! Thank you to the owners for some beautiful memories and vacation pictures!

BEAUTIFUL AND QUIET PROPERTY!!! Perfect location away from town for mountain getaway!

  • 5 of 5

My fiancé and I had an absolutely wonderful stay at the chalet. The mountain views from the property are breathtaking and the home is beautifully decorated with modern touches throughout. Although it was just the two of us staying, there is plenty of room for a large family and we certainly intend to return one day with the rest of our family. We loved the closeness of the location to the town of Breckenridge. We felt secluded but not too remote. There are so many beautiful hiking trails with waterfalls and lakes that are minutes from the home, and the owner provided us with plenty of fabulous ideas for things to do during our stay. We will definitely be back for another stay!

Location, view, comfort and furnishings were all amazing!

  • 5 of 5

We absolutely loved our stay at the Chalet! The location was perfect, beautiful in every direction and only 10-15 minutes from the center of town when we wanted to go shopping or out to eat. We honestly loved being in the mountains and cooking in the great kitchen and hanging out in the beautiful and very comfortable home after a day of exploring Lake Dillon, the waterfalls, hiking Hosier's Pass, climbing Quandry Peak or horseback riding in Breckenridge or the many other suggestions Marlene had offered. The home is very roomy and well stocked and has been decorated to feel like a personal home, not a rental! We would stay here again without a doubt, hoping that in the near future they might add a larger outdoor space for lounging outside to enjoy the summer months! That would make this home absolutely PERFECT!!!! The current deck is very nice, but not quite large enough for lounging or relaxing as a whole group. (just a thought)

I haven't stopped thinking about this home since i returned home, it was so beautiful!!!! We loved watching the chipmunks play on the front steps in the mornings among the flowers...

Absolutely Amazing!!

  • 5 of 5

The home was immaculate, cozy, and in the most beautiful setting. Careful thought was taken with stocking the kitchen and the bathrooms with what we would need for our stay. The owner was great to leave suggestions for hikes around the area as well as a wealth of informative magazines and books about Breckenridge and surround. We couldn't have asked for a more amazing place to stay. Will definitely book this property again!!

Beautiful and very well kept.

  • 5 of 5

I love, love, love the chalet! It was perfect for our family of five. The views from the balcony were breathtaking. The owner is very pleasant and gives wonderful advice on places you must see while there. Thank you, Marlene! 😊򒠠I wish we could have stayed longer, but the high elevation was too much for some us. I would definitely recommend to others and would love to stay again on our next visit.
