Rustic Home-Away-From-Home in Beautiful “Yellowstone Country” Setting

  • 5 of 5

Our family of 11 adults and four youngsters gathered here for a week over the 4th of July. We agree with all the previous positive reviews.....house had plenty of room and a well equipped kitchen (could use some extra sheet sets and cutting boards). The area offers so many outdoor activities that we never got around to playing any of the games that we either brought or that were provided by the owner. From visiting Yellowstone, to hiking and biking, to finding local spots for the kids to fish, to renting 4-wheelers, to watching wildlife (including a baby antelope springing out of the sagebrush behind its parents in the back meadow!) we never ran out of ways to entertain everyone. And, if you’re ever in the area over July 4th, be sure to head to West Yellowstone for their fireworks display. They were incredible!!

We would definitely stay here again, but I would be remiss if I didn’t finish this review with a few notes for the owner: 1) When we arrived the back door was open. The cabin has instructions explaining how to lock the doors, and we had no problems doing so. It seems the cleaners need a lesson in how to lock them, too! 2) Coffee pot was left on and had burnt dry before we arrived. 3) Reflection plates over burners on back porch grill have deteriorated and should be replaced. Also, it would be nice to have a grill scraper. 4) Refrigerator could stand to be cleaned out. Although I appreciate having condiments, etc, to use, so much has been left by other renters that we barely had room for everything we brought for our stay.

Thanks so much for providing your home for us to rent. We have a rental property on Florida’s gulf coast. If you’re ever in the need for a vacation home down there please let us know!

Good

  • 4 of 5

Property was in overall great condition with plenty of room for all of us. Our grandkids didn't want to leave at the end of our stay. The only problems we had were that the door locks did not always work properly and it would have been nice to have a coffee pot with a handle. Thanks for sharing your home with us.

Great place central to all snowmobiling!

  • 5 of 5

What can I say, this place is awesome! We had snowmobiles delivered to our door and this was a great location to hit the trails. Our stay was over Christmas and the owners did an awesome job decorating for us. The cabin was plenty big for the 8 of us. I would definitely book this property again.

Great Cabin in a Great Location!

  • 4 of 5

Our group of 6 adults had a great time staying in this cabin! The setting was unbeatable. Remote country feeling yet only 20 minutes to the West gate of Yellowstone. While the inside was beautiful with plenty of room, we spent most of our time here on the Awesome covered deck out back. We grilled out, ate dinner and enjoyed the fire pit every chance we got. If you are looking for a relaxing getaway yet easy access to the park, this is the place for you!

Great owner and very accommodative to our needs.

  • 5 of 5

The property is fine and we were lucky to have a very nice owner. The only problem we had was the HomeAway customer representative who was rude and not helpful at all.

Wonderful!

  • 5 of 5

It is located in a beautiful and somewhat secluded part of Island Park, yet close to fun activities. We cooked most meals here and the kitchen was well stocked. We held a family reunion so we had lots of people. The basement has a big bathroom where 4 or 5 people can get ready at the same time (which was nice)!

We roasted marshmallows and ate smores at the fire pit (there was firewood for us to use). The deck was very handy and provided extra space for eating dinner, watching sunsets as well as the antelope. We made family videos and the downstairs TV was the perfect place for everyone to gather and watch. The cabin overall was in great condition! We had a great time.

Henry's Lake
Car: necessary

We are located approximately 1/4 mile off the south shore of Henrys Lake in quite Sawtell Meadows. If you enjoy fishing then you will be in heaven with the many options available to you. Try your luck at Henrys Lake for monster lake trout or wade the crystal clear waters of the outlet or Henrys Fork.

Boating activities like tubing waterskiing and wake boarding can be enjoyed at Island Park Reservoir which is a short 20 min drive.

West Yellowstone is just 21 miles away and is a souvenir shoppers delight with the many shops and galleries waiting for your enjoyment. A must see is Yellowstone National Park for the wildlife, geysers and spectacular scenery.

One of our favorite times to visit the cabin is in the winter. The driveway is plowed all winter long for your easy access. Once you visit the area in the winter you will understand why it is known as the snowmobile capital of the world. The groomed trail system is a few hundred yards away which will give you 200+ miles of trail options.
