Charming 2 Bedroom Apartment (sleeps 5)

Set within a stunning, well appointed Victorian villa in the beautiful seaside village of Lundin Links, East Neuk of Fife. This apartment sleeps up to 4 adults, and has an additional pull out bed for a child.

(Please note prices quoted are for the house as a unit NOT per person/room)

This lovely holiday home is situated in a quiet residential street, 2 minutes walk away from the beach and Largo Bay with its break taking views over the bay to Edinburgh and its white sandy beaches.

The apartment has two well proportioned bedrooms (1 double, 1 twin), a large lounge/ dining room with a modern gas fire, a separate kitchen and a newly fitted bathroom with walk in shower.

Hillhead House provides the perfect setting for a family holiday, a golfing trip or a sightseeing tour of the Kingdom of Fife.

Attractions: Besides from relaxing and enjoying the slower pace of life in Fife, there are a whole host of things to do during your stay.

We are very well positioned for trips to Edinburgh, Perth and Dundee (By car, or public transport) and St Andrews, Scotland's oldest university town and the home of the world-famous Royal and Ancient golf club is less than 15mins drive away. The town has wonderful shops, restaurants and miles of sandy beaches.

Lundin Links is also surrounded by the picturesque tiny stone harbours of the fishing villages of the East Neuk - Anstruther, Crail, St Monans and Pittenweem. All of which are ideal for a gentle walk and a breath of fresh sea air! For the more daring walker or cyclist, the house is situated on the Fife Coastal Path, specifically designed for walkers and cyclists, which follows the coast line from Kirkcaldy right around to St Andrews.

About Hazel Ritchie

Cameron and Hazel Ritchie:

Cameron is a retired lawyer and criminal prosecutor. He has spend many years working and playing golf in Fife.

Hazel is a Depute Headteacher in Stirling, Scotland. She loves the seaside and is also a keen golfer.

They bought Hillhead House in 2002 as a holiday home for their family and friends. They have been renting their house to holiday makers since 2005.

This house was perfect for family holidays and as a weekend retreat. The apartments close proximity to the beach was a real bonus - as were the two excellent golf courses!

The locals are wonderful and have welcomed us back to Lundin Links for over 10 years.

Peaceful, safe and secure. A wonderful base for families, especially with small children, golfing parties and sightseers.

Lovely flat-well equipped with everything you could need. Close to the beach and Lundin Links. Not at all touristy - lots of local flavor. The Scots are friendly. lovely and welcoming. Overall great place!

Good, clean, comfortable flat to stay in close to superb beach for dog walking.

The flat was spotlessly clean. Well equipped kitchen and great shower in the bathroom. Lounge has a large TV and comfortable settees. There is a large, private garden at the rear of the property with table and chairs. The only thing missing was a curtain in the bedroom which was very bright in the morning when sun rose at 4.30am.

Well located for enjoying the Neuk Coast

We enjoyed our stay in this property, particularly the fabulous weather. It was sunshine every day!! The apartment is as described. It is very spacious, 2 large bedrooms with excellent storage, wardrobes and drawer space. The sitting room/dinning room is also large with two sofas and a TV with sky which was much appreciated by our 11 year old son! It is very well located for exploring this coast. We were blessed with lovely weather which made visiting the beaches a real pleasure, we collected shells, climbed around the rock pools, admired the hardy children paddling in the sea and the dog was in heaven chasing his ball. There is a handy shed which we used for storing our bikes and we went for a great cycle around Loch Leven. The kitchen is well equipped and has a dishwasher and washing machine, but it is a narrow, galley kitchen which was no problem for us, but if you want a kitchen diner then this is not for you.

It was a short walk down the road to the local beach which was lovely and you can walk for miles in both directions. There are a range of restaurants in the area from £ - £££ and the local farm shop was also excellent. If golf is your thing there are many fabulous courses in the area. The owner was a pleasure to deal with, she supplied accurate and useful information in the property and beforehand and was very helpful when we asked to extend our stay after the original booking was made. The flat was very clean and everything worked! ( the WiFi was excellent, again much appreciated by 11 yr old!) We were sorry to leave and would certainly rebook without hesitation.

Nice Clean and Homely

We had a nice Easter stay over the weekend.

The place was spotless and very tidy also every thing that you could need was at hand. It was cosy and warm.

My mother in law thought she had left a book when we left this turned up at her house. The owner had the house searched for us, she couldn't have been more helpful with this. If staying in the area again then we will try to book this again.

We had a lovely time at Hillhead House

The holiday home was spotlessly clean, well equipped and had everything we needed for an enjoyable break. The bedding was fresh and was of good quality and the kitchen and bathroom were both of a high standard. The property was close to the beach which suited the dog, shops nearby and in a quiet location.

We were very comfortable and having holidayed in the area for many years, I am looking forward to returning and would recommend the property to friends and family
