About this property

Heisch's Haven, come to the sunny side of Cascade!

The cabin sits high on the sunny side of the mountain in Cascade with really nice mountain views. It is easily accessible from Highway 24 without the sight and noise of the highway. It is centrally located to many of the attractions in the area, including North Pole/Santa's Workshop, Pikes Peak, Woodland Park, Cripple Creek and Victor, Manitou Springs and Colorado Springs.

5 person maximum occupancy.

The rent is $150.00 per night for a 3 night minimum. If you rent it for 7 nights or more the rent is $125 per night and for 28 nights or more the rent is $100.00 per night! This is the eleventh year we have been charging the same prices. We have to charge state imposed taxes and a $300.00 damage/cleaning fee. *Sorry, rates are firm, water is very expensive in Cascade.*

We will consider ONE well behaved, potty trained dog, 20 lbs. or larger, upon approval only! They must be kenneled/crated when left alone in the cabin, cannot be left alone outside in the yard because of excessive barking, running the neighborhood or because of the risk of wildlife. They aren't permitted on the beds or the furniture at anytime. Dog poop must be picked up in bags daily and placed in trash cans. Please mention that you would like to bring a dog and what kind it is during booking. Cats are not allowed, no exceptions.

We offer a washer and dryer for your use and we supply a variety of HE detergents and fabric softeners FREE OF CHARGE. We only ask that you be mindful of our high water cost in Cascade. If you have MANY loads of laundry to do, for example, you've been camping or not had laundry facilities for a long time where you were before arriving at our cabin, we ask that you leave us $10-$20 on the kitchen table before you check out. It is strictly on the honor system. ;o) If you rent for a longer period of time, no charge.

We do not charge an upfront cleaning fee like most rentals do. If you clean it well and leave it like you found it there will not be a cleaning fee. If you don't clean it, there will be a $50 per hour cleaning fee (or more) deducted from your $300 cleaning/damage deposit. We don't ask you to oil the paneling or wax the floor, just clean and wipe up what you messed up. We wash the sheets and towels so you don't have to!

We are hands on owners that do all of our own booking, cleaning and maintenance, sorry we don't have staff! We are hard working, responsible, honest and have integrity and are looking for renters who have the same qualities (a sense of humor is a plus). If you have these qualities please inquire about our cabin...if you do not, please rent a motel!

We supply: sheets, towels, kleenex, toilet paper, liquid hand soap, dish soap (both kinds), laundry soap, fabric softener, paper towels, plasitic baggies, plastic wrap, foil, some spices, salt and pepper.

You will need: clothes (including jackets even in the summer, you never know when you're in the mountains), body soap, personal toiletries, food and beverages...that's it!

It's just like home, the sheets might be little wrinkled only ours are clean! Come check it out!

Cozy and clean
The cabin was very clean and handy to all the attractions and areas we wanted to go to in Ute Pass. Everything worked well, internet, water, etc. The TV was limited in channels to watch, but that's not why we went on vacation. Jeanette made sure we were comfortable and responded promptly to any texts we sent. We definitely recommend it for a nice relaxing experience in the Rockies!

About the host

Hosted by Jeanette Heisch

Host profile image
Darell went the first 3 years of school to the little old school house which is now the Cascade Library and Jeanette grew up in Chipita Park. We both went to Ute Pass Elementary School in Chipita Park and then went to Manitou Jr. High and High school. We now live in Colorado Springs.

Why they chose this property

My father in law built this cabin in the 1950's, we are the second generation to own it. There are lots of memories and stories here. It's not just a business and is not professionally decorated but decorated with things that mean something to us and a few things that just make us smile. We decided to share it with other people and we hope everyone will enjoy it as much as we do.

What makes this property unique

Even though you are in a residential neighborhood you really feel like you've gotten away from it all.
