Cute cabin close to Homewood, Sunnyside & Sugar Pine State Park
Our family has wanted to have a cabin in Tahoe for years. This is just what we wanted; a cozy and clean place to just get away from it all. Our daughter had a hard time remembering 'Tohoma' and it became 'Tomaha'-- the name stuck.
Samantha purchased this Cabin in 2013
Why Samantha chose Tahoma
We recently purchased the cabin after renting it for a weekend. We love the size and the location of our get-away -- everything is right outside your door and you have all the beauty of Tahoe!
What makes this Cabin unique
You're not going to lose your family in our 1000 SF cabin, but it's clean, modern and tidy. We especially like the close proximity (2 blocks) of all the open trails. We've already enjoyed snowshoeing and look forward to biking and hiking in summer. We also enjoy having Homewood (a great family ski resort) so close with just a 5 minute drive. And after you've tired yourself out with all of Tahoe's activities, our cabin is a comfortable place to decompress, whip up a meal, watch the big-screen LCD, or read in front of the fire.

We have rented a number of VRBO properties and this house is right at the top of the list in cleanliness and style. We loved every moment there.
Don't Forget the Butter!
Small cabin in a quiet neighborhood. We loved the location, close to places we wanted to go/see but away from the crowds of South Lake Tahoe.
Everything was as described. Clean, neat with attention to small details like nightlights, games etc. Many 'extras' left by previous guests, so if you think you forgot something, check the cupboards first. The best added bonus is the bread maker! Thoughtful, so easy and nothing tastes better than warm bread with butter- lots of butter!
I would love to see an ongoing "cabin journal" where previous guests can describe hikes they took , special places they saw, restaurants they tried and activities they did while staying.
The only hitch was the description to walk to the lake. We did not see a "mansion access" sign across the highway from the campground entrance as written in the cabin information notebook. Maybe someone can verify/update that info.
All in all, a lovely place to stay when visiting Lake Tahoe.
Well-maintained, well-equipped and well-serviced property
The cabin was clean and well-monitored; good appliances and directions; excellent responsiveness to minor questions. I wouldn't hesitate to visit again.
Perfect size , it had everything you might need, quiet friendly neighborhood
We had a great time. Cooked on the barbecue, went down to the lake, perfect weather. It was lovely ! I’d definitely stay here again
Wonderful little cabin in Tahoma!
My wife and I came here for 5 days while hanging out in Tahoma and Tahoe, and we thought the cabin was perfect for our needs. Everything is as advertised and worked fine. We even saw a bear (heed the warnings about putting food away). The cabin was perfect for us and would be great for two couples or a small family. The neighborhood was great and it gets SO quiet at night, we loved it. The next door neighbor (Mel) was super nice and we chatted with him and his wife, they’ve been around here for a while and know a lot about the area. We met several neighbors as they walked by, great environment for relaxing. Thank you Samantha for the use of your cute little cabin.
Everything was just as expected. We enjoyed our time there so much!
Check in and stay were amazing! Will definitely stay again.
Our cabin is nicely located with a short 3 block walk to open space with lots of trails for biking/hiking in the summer and snow shoeing or cross country skiing in winter. We are also a block from Sugar Pine State Park with full beach access and more trails. Home wood Ski Resort is just a 5 minute drive or take the shuttle.
