A large farm building located close to the villa has been converted into a playden for guest's use - Casa Pollo. Casa Lola is located in the commune of Monte San Martino, one of the most beautiful hill-top villages in the region; where the local church houses some of the best renaissance art from the Crivelli brothers, also to be seen in the National Gallery and other great galleries of the world (and we have some on our door-step - wonderful)!
There are excellent places to eat a short drive from the villa (or hearty walk) and cafes and delicious home made Italian ice-cream to be enjoyed in the gelaterias of Amandola and Sarnarno.
The Sibillini mountains offer some of the best walking to be had in the country, ranging from treks up valleys along the shaded rivers to more robust clambers where you can stay at refugios located strategically along crafted routes.
Excellent day trips include Assisi and Urbino, and Ascoli Piceno with it's piazzas and galleries offering culture vultures a glorious day out.
Closer to home there is a riding school in the valley and playgrounds in abundance for very small children. A lake below the house with a deer park (although deer tend to hide) gentle buggy-friendly walk and pizzeria (with basic swings and slide to occupy energetic children) and restaurant to hand.
