Casa Lola enjoys spectacular views of the gorgeous valleys and rolling hills of the Le Marche region (known as the golden region for it's beauty) and is within easy driving distance of several unspoilt medieval villages each with excellent cafes, local eateries and produce.
Sleeping up to 12 guests. Casa Lola is comprised of 2 traditionally built buildings connected together to create a comfortable well designed 6 bedroom house with 4 bathrooms and 2 downstairs WC's. (3 doubles and 3 twin).
Outside there is a large terracotta terrace and covered pergola, table, chairs and big parasols to keep the sun at bay. There are two eating areas, one covered and one open to the sun.
Ample loungers, garden chairs and parasols are to be found in the beautifully tended garden, with plenty of trees and shady areas to retreat under if the heat is too intense.
A new 10 x 5 metre South facing private and fenced swimming pool is located just below the house in the lower garden, which is one depth at 150cm to align with health and safety regulations, including steps down into it.
This pool area offers stunning views of the mountains and surrounding hills. It also offers a large Travertine surround with quality French pool furniture to relax on as well as an eating area.
The house itself is well equipped - and comes with a dishwasher, washing machine, TV, DVD, ipod docks 4&5 (please bring own music) 2 x cots & a camp bed.
The large 7.5 x 5.5m kitchen is designed to cater for large groups, suitable for cooking and eating together with wood-burning stove for the cooler evenings.
There are 2 good sized and comfortable reception rooms beyond the kitchen with areas for watching TV, retreating with a book, or having a family get-together.
The TV area has a Flat-screen x 55' smart TV with Netfliks and Apple TV facilities.
Last but not least Casa Lola includes a recently renovated farm building which provides a safe covered play area for groups of children of all ages known as Casa Pollo. It houses a huge netted trampoline, table-tennis, table football, and lots of toys for smaller children to enjoy, ranging from train sets and doll's houses to a village shop plus more to entertain the smaller family members.
Outside there is also a swing set and sandpit for guest's use next to Casa Pollo.
Casa Lola is located in the commune of Monte San Martino, one of the most beautiful hill-top villages in the region, where the local church houses some of the best renaissance art from the Crivelli brothers, also to be seen in the National Gallery and other great galleries of the world (and we have some on our door-step - wonderful)!
There are excellent places to eat a short drive from the villa (or hearty walk) and cafes and delicious home made Italian ice-cream to be enjoyed in the gelaterias of Amandola and Sarnarno.
The Sibillini mountains offer some of the best walking to be had in the country, ranging from treks up valleys along the shaded rivers to more robust clambers where you can stay at refugios located strategically along crafted routes.
Excellent day trips include Assisi and Urbino, and Ascoli Piceno with it's piazzas and galleries offering culture vultures a glorious day out.
Closer to home there is a riding school in the valley and playgrounds in abundance for very small children. A lake below the house with a deer park (although deer tend to hide) gentle buggy-friendly walk and pizzeria (with basic swings and slide to occupy energetic children) and restaurant to hand.
